LiEE Is Good!

We bought dad some license plate signs on the beach for his garage.  When dad opened them he looked so confused and couldn't figure out what it said. We hadn't noticed on the beach but the sign had two e's in life instead of an f. We had a good laugh about that.
Dad was starting to feel better on our last full day there. He still stayed in the condo and took it easy, but you could tell he was doing better and had more energy. I went shopping with Matt to get some stuff for the condo and then we all hung out on the beach again after lunch. Mel went up to shower and Matt, Tiff and I walked down to the resort next to us to get pina coladas and tacos. Unfortunately they were closed, but there was a restaurant open and they said they could make us pina coladas. Tiff and I didn't bring shoes because you walk across the sand to get there and we were planning on just going up to the window on the beach. It was a little awkward standing in the restaurant with our bare feet.
They had tables outside so we drank our pina coladas out there.
We visited while we drank those.
When we were finished the sun was starting to set so I walked on the beach again to enjoy the sunset.
I always get sad when it's the last sunset before we get home.
I watched it from the water again.
The ocean was very calm during our trip.  I missed hearing the sound of waves.

A few last picture of sunset.
That night dad was feeling up to opening his birthday presents.
Matt and Lori got him some funny things.
The Back and Body Hurts candle was funny.
Here he is trying to figure out what the license plate signs say.
He thought the shart kit was pretty funny.
He wasn't so sure about some of the things in it.
We laughed a lot while he read the instructions in the kit.  It was fun to laugh so hard.  Dad told us stories about his childhood and when he and mom were first married. I always love when he tells stories and we have fun reminiscing or I hear things I have never heard before. We stayed up visiting until we were all ready for bed.
On Thursday our flight wasn't until late so we took our time leaving Rocky Point. We got back to Matt and Lori's at dinner time so we got Salad and Go and had some time to visit before we had to go to the airport.  I'm glad we had this time together. I wish Gary could have been there and I wish dad hadn't gotten sick, but we still got some good, quality time together.

Rocky Point, I've missed you!

I was so excited to go back to Rocky Point.  We were all excited for dad to see it.  We always go straight out to the balcony when we get there to soak in the view. I don't think dad was excepting everything to be so nice. He said, "now I see why you love it so much."
The girls stayed in the old condo. We unloaded stuff there and then we all went over to see Matt and Lori's new place.  It was beautiful with just as great of a view! It's on the 8th floor as well and the condos are all the same set up, so it is very similar.  Matt and Lori went down the week before and cleaned things out and started to make it their own.  I'm so happy for them. Matt has had a goal of owning one some day and it's so fun to see them make it happen.
I'm always very anxious to get down to the beach once I get there.  It's the best feeling to walk through the tunnel.
It's like the tunnel to paradise! You can't beat this view!
As soon as I sat down someone came by selling fruit so I treated myself to a fruit cup.  It was the perfect way to kick off my vacation.
Matt and Lori had shopped and packed lots of food for us. They are always so generous and take such good care of us.  Mel cooked up the lasagnas and garlic bread for us for dinner.  It was delicious.
Right before sunset we saw a bunch of dolphins putting on a show for us.
We enjoyed the sunset from the balcony.
I couldn't help it and had to run down and get a picture with the palm trees.  I have a million pictures like this, but I can never resist taking more.
There is just something so magical about a beautiful sunset, especially when you pair it with palm trees and the beach.
I love that the sunset just goes on and on and keeps changing.
On Monday Dad and Matt went for a walk on the beach.  There were a bunch of jelly fish that I've never seen before. They were huge! It made us a little nervous about getting in the ocean.
Matt, Dad and I went to Walmart to get a few things and then went and picked up lunch. We got lots of tortillas, beans and rice that we could eat all week.
Dad stayed up in the condo after lunch and the rest of us went down to relax on the beach.
Tiff said the big pool wasn't cold so after a while I went up there and sat in that for a while. It was warm while we were there so I got hot enough to get in the water, which was really nice.
I stayed down by the pool for sunset. I love the color reflecting on the water.
The clouds always add so much to the sunset.
That night we went over to Matt's place and visited on the balcony. The lunch wasn't sitting well with dad and he kept feeling worse and worse as the night went on. By the time we left he was feeling really nauseous. He was really sick throughout the night.  We all felt so bad for him. We all ate the lunch and were fine, so we were pretty sure it wasn't food poisoning.  He ended up getting really sick and feeling crummy for the rest of the trip.  Poor guy, he just needs a break. We all wanted him to be able to just relax and have a nice escape. This confirmed for him that he just can't travel anymore. His stomach issues make it too hard for him. Thankfully he felt better by the time we flew home because he's terrified of being sick on the airplane.
We checked on dad the next day and he was feeling a little better stomach wise, but very achy and tired. He just stayed in and napped all day.  Unfortunately the condo next to Matt was doing renovations, so it was so loud! Poor dad,  he really couldn't catch a break.  I enjoyed reading on the balcony for a bit before I got too hot out there.
After that I went down to the beach and put my feet in the water for a bit.
In the afternoon the tide was in pretty far. It was the perfect time to sit down there and read and listen to the ocean.
The temperature was just right in the shade. It was the perfect combination of visiting, reading and napping!
I stayed down on the beach for sunset and went for a long walk.  I can't believe how big those jelly fish are!
There were so many birds diving in and out of the water.
I decided to try some sunset pictures from inside the water.
If you turn the opposite way of the sun, the sky is more of a pink or purple color.
I love how the pictures turned out of the water at sunset.
This one is my favorite.
I loved watching the sunset with my feet in the water.
I love seeing the picture of mom and dad on his nightstand.
That day was dad's birthday. We were planning to take him to La Curva that night, but he was too sick for that and still feeling very tired and achy.  We visited with him that night, but decided to wait until the next day to do presents because he just wasn't up for it. Poor guy!
