4 months

Another month has flown by and Wyatt is 4 months old.  It is weird, time is going by so fast, but we feel like he has been with us forever at the same time.
Wyatt has been so much fun from day one.  He has always been very content and mellow.  I can count on one hand the number of times he has really cried and been upset.  He wasn't the best sleeper at first, but now he is awesome.  He usually sleeps 11 hours at night and takes a few naps during the day.  He is really good at going to sleep on his own, but sometimes I rock him to sleep because I don't want that to be over yet.
Wyatt likes to be held, but after he has been held for a while he wants to get down and just lay on the ground.  He loves to lay on the floor and look around and kick his legs.  This is when he is the most interactive.  If you sit next to him he will smile and play and make all sorts of cute noises.
He has mastered rolling from his stomach to his back, but then he gets mad after a minute because he doesn't like being on his stomach and he can't flip back over. He loves taking a bath.  As long as the water is warm he loves playing and splashing.  He still doesn't have much hair and he keeps getting chunkier by the day.  He is a big boy, he is really long too.  I'm a little surprised that the novelty hasn't worn off with Caitlyn and Jonah.  They still just want to sit around and play with him all the time.  I love watching my kids together.  We have all started calling him Wy Guy.  It seems to fit.  I just can't get enough of this little guy!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

We are all a little excited for Christmas this year so we set up our Christmas tree a couple of weeks ago.  The kids were so excited.  Keith also did a great job hanging lights and decorating the front of our house.  I love Christmas time.
These two crack me up.  They were pretending that Caitlyn was Santa Claus.  I have to write a couple of funny things the kids have said.  We were driving in the car the other day and Caitlyn said, "mom I need a new computer for Christmas, my Little Einstein computer is a piece of crap."  Keith and I looked at each other and I asked her where she learned that.  Caitlyn replied, "from you mom, you said my bike was a piece of crap."  In my defense that was while I was trying to put her chain back on her bike after it fell off AGAIN and we were about a half a mile from home and I was in my roller blades pushing Wyatt in the stroller. The other morning Jonah came upstairs almost in tears and said, "mom I had a bad dream."  In his most pathetic voice he said, "someone gave Cailtyn a piece of pie and then they gave me a piece of pie and mine fell on the ground and then I didn't have any pie."  He almost burst into tears while he was telling me.  It was so funny.
We had a ridiculous amount of snow this morning when we woke up.  Keith and I shoveled the driveway out this morning, with the help of two neighbors and their snow blowers.  I love nice neighbors!  We have a lot of cement, we have extra parking on the driveway and then a lot of cement in the back and we shovel our deck because the snow is so heavy. All that adds up to a lot of shoveling.  While Keith was at school me and the kids went outside so I could start shoveling the deck and the backyard. Caitlyn and Jonah were so excited with all the snow.
The snow was so high it practically buried our swing set.  The kids tried to swing anyway, it didn't work out so well!

The kids had a blast jumping off the big hill into the snow.  I couldn't believe they stayed outside so long. Usually they have to come inside after 10 minutes because they are so cold.
It loved watching them have so much fun.  It was killing me not to pull out their sleds that we got them for Christmas.

Happy Thanksgiving

I have to take a minute and express my thanks for all of my blessings.  I look around and see so many people struggling and it makes me realize how much I have been blessed with.  I am so thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ.  No matter what we do or don't have in this life the blessings of the atonement of our Savior are available to all.  The peace that our Savior can bring is available to all and I'm so grateful that because he gave his life for me I can have hope of returning to live with my Heavenly Father some day.
Salt Lake City, UT : Mormon Temple, Temple Square, Salt Lake City
I'm grateful that temples are on the earth and that our Heavenly Father has given us the opportunity to be sealed together as families.  I'm so grateful for the Salt Lake Temple where Keith and I were sealed and because of that we can live with each other and our children forever.
I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful family.  Keith is a wonderful husband and Father and I'm so grateful for him and all he does for our family.  I'm so grateful to be a Mother.  My kids bring so much joy and happiness into my life and I am so grateful for each one of them.  I could go on and on, but I will just say I have much to be grateful for and I'm glad to take a day to focus on those blessings.
