Talks in church

Today Keith and I had to give talks in sacrament meeting.  The kids wanted to give talks too.  We have been practicing them all week and they did such a great job.  They were both a little nervous, but they got up and did it by themselves.
We had to speak on education. Jonah wrote his own talk and got up and said, "I love to go to church to learn about Jesus and I want to learn how to go to the temple to get married."  It was so sweet.  For some reason my kids always talk about getting married and who they are going to marry.  Caitlyn pretty much had her talk memorized, but she took it up there to read just in case she got nervous.  She talked about learning in school and in primary and learning by reading the scriptures.  I was so proud of both of them.

I like to move it move it

This should be Wyatt's new theme song.  This boy is always moving.  He loves his freedom to move and wiggle. He can get all over the place by rolling back and forth. His new thing is to get on his back and get himself around the room by pushing with his legs. He pushed himself across the room last night by doing that.  I haven't been able to get on camera yet, but it is pretty funny.
He really wants to crawl, but he hasn't quite figured it out yet.  He gets on his hands and knees, but hasn't figured out how to move forward.
Wyatt always has his tongue sticking out like this.
It is fun to see him have so much fun getting around and playing and showing off his cute personality.

7 months

This cute little guy will be 7 months tomorrow.  We are having fun seeing more of his personality come out. He is a very happy little guy.  He is like Jonah, he is usually happy, but if he is upset, he is really upset.
He is getting closer to crawling.  He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks a lot.  He loves to roll all over the place.  His new trick is to find whatever mom doesn't want him to have and roll over to that and get it.  I will move him back and say no and he will roll right back over and get it.  Then he flashes me that adorable smile and I can't help but smile.
He has mastered sitting up.  He can sit up for a long time and he loves the different view.  He loves to sit and play with toys for a while and then he will fall over and roll around for a while.
He loves to eat.  If he is crying it is usually because he is hungry.  He is liking a variety of foods.  He will pull a sour face for a bite or two, but then he just keeps on eating.  He loves to sit in the high chair which comes in very handy.
Caitlyn and Jonah are so excited with all of the new things he is doing.  They love that he will interact with them now.  We are so grateful that Wyatt is such a healthy happy baby.

Safe Kids Fair

Every year I hear how fun the safe kids fair is and every year I forget about it. Luckily this year a few friends reminded me.
The kids loved getting their face painted.  Of course Jonah went for spider man and Caitlyn went for a princess.
Jonah was pretty excited that he got to sit on a motorcycle and he was even more excited when the police officer said he could push all the buttons.
The kids got very nervous when they saw some of the police dogs.  They didn't dare do anything for a few minutes after we saw them. Luckily they calmed down and had a good time.
Dad will love this picture of Jonah.  He was thrilled he got to hold a lightsaber.
They loved riding the bikes and playing on the playground.
It is so nice to take Jonah places where he can touch things.  He has such a hard time holding still and not touching anything, so places like this are great.
Caitlyn surprised me and wanted her picture taken with spider man.  Jonah was nervous, so she said she would do it to show him it wasn't scary.
I was more surprised that Jonah was nervous.  Once he saw Caitlyn do it he decided he wanted a picture with him too.  I love Jonah's spider man face with his batman hat. We all had fun and I'm sure we will be going back next year.

It's a hard knock life

Caitlyn had her dance recital a few days ago.  She was so excited and she looked so adorable.
She loved taking it with her friends.  They all looked so cute and did such a great job.
They danced to, "It's a hard knock life," from Annie.  Cailtyn loved it because the teacher wanted her to do some acting along with the dance.  Here they are with their pouting faces.
It was such a cute dance.  Caitlyn loved every minute of it.  She has come so far from the shy little girl who was terrified just to talk to people.
Caitlyn loves her Grandmas, so she was thrilled to have them both there.
We missed Keith's dad. He had meetings so he couldn't be there.  She was happy to have Grandpa Ham there watching.
Of course Keith and I loved watching her dance.  She is always so excited about whatever she is doing and wants every one to watch.
We went and got some ice cream afterwards.  Kristin and Emily joined us and it was a great end to a fun evening.

Back to the Zoo

We went to the zoo with some good friends yesterday. It was a free day and it was packed! The kids didn't seem to mind.  I love to get together with my friend Allison because I love to talk to her and Caitlyn and Jonah love Grace and Max, so everyone is happy!
They had a little art exhibit for us to walk through.  Allison and I were laughing that we felt like such good moms because we were exposing our kids to art and animals.
Caitlyn and Grace are such good friends.  That was one of the hardest parts about moving a few years ago.  Luckily, we have stayed close so we still get to see each other a lot.
Caitlyn thought she was pretty funny giving Jonah bunny ears.
Caitlyn and Grace were so cute playing together yesterday.  They are so funny to listen to because they sound like a couple of teenagers.
Caitlyn really wanted to slide down this pole, but she was scared.  Allison was so nice and worked with her until she could do it on her own and she was so proud.
Jonah had to do it once he saw Caitlyn do it.  He just hopped right on and slid down.
Wyatt was a good sport as usual.  He doesn't like being strapped in much anymore.  Luckily he will do it for a while, but then he starts to get really restless.  He is getting so wiggly that he doesn't like to be confined anymore.  Outings are getting more tricky with this squirmy little guy.

A Day in the life

The kids asked for these computers for Christmas.  I kept trying to talk them into just asking for one because I thought they would use them for a short time and then be done with them.  Thank goodness they didn't listen to me.  They use these computers all the time.  They have lots of fun learning games on them and the kids love them.  Sometimes I'm glad to be wrong!
One morning while Caitlyn was at school we were planning on going to story time at the library, but it turned out that Jonah needed my attention more than a story.  We had fun playing Mr. potato head.
Jonah thought Wyatt's was so funny.
Jonah gave me this music box that he made at Lowes for valentines day.  He was so sweet.  He kept saying, "mom I have something for you and it's hiding in my room, but I can't tell you what it is."  He was so happy when it was finally valentines day that he came running up with it. Jonah was so sweet the other day when I was having a rough day. Caitlyn was on a goofy kick and we were all at the doctor and she just wouldn't calm down. I started to fake cry and Jonah put his hand under my chin and said, "it's okay mommy, Caitlyn is just acting a little goofy right now." It was so cute.

Last weekend we got to have our cousins come over and spend the day on Saturday.  The kids were so excited they could hardly sleep the night before.  I love my nieces and nephews.  They are the kind of kids you want your kids to be friends with because they are so great, so the fact that they are family is even better.
Jonah looks up to his cousins so much.  He loves to act tough and play rough with them.  Sometimes a little too rough, but they are good sports.  It was a little windy, but we headed to the school to burn off some energy.  I had a great time playing soccer with Jonah and E.J.  E.J. killed me because I'm old and slow, but it was still fun.  Jonah was in heaven.
Keith and Elijah got to play basketball and Amarie and Caitlyn worked on mastering the monkey bars.  Everyone was happy!  Caitlyn is bound and determined to get across these monkey bars.  She was so excited that she almost made it that she just kept screaming with excitement and giving herself pep talks. It was pretty funny to watch.

Caitlyn, Caitlyn, Caitlyn!

Isn't she beautiful? My friend took this picture of her and I love it.  Most of her pictures have her goofy poses or her fake "cheese" smile, so it is nice to have this one.
Here is one of those goofy poses.  She is so funny. She is always trying to do funny things to make people laugh.  Today she said, "mom I think I want to be President.  Do you know who our President is?  It is Barack Obama.  I think I want to get a book about him."  I guess I know what they talked about at school today.
Before Caitlyn went off track she decided that she wanted to write her numbers from 1 to 100 at school because she saw another kid get a prize for doing it.  She practiced every day and was so excited when she went back on track to pass it off.  She did it and was thrilled with the pony she picked for a prize.  I was really glad to see her set a goal and work towards it.
Caitlyn is such a great big sister.  She is very protective of her brothers.  We had some kids over and they were arguing with Jonah because he didn't want to play what they wanted to play, so Caitlyn stepped in and said, "you guys Jonah is only 4 years old, he isn't even in pre-school yet. He doesn't really know how to behave and now you made him feel bad that no one is playing with him."  It was so sweet.  I love to see my kids sticking up for each other.  She also said at one point that she was going to pick a boy prize when she passed off her numbers so she could give it to Jonah.  I told her that was nice, but I would take care of Jonah and she should get something for herself.  Caitlyn has always been very concerned about others feelings.  I love that about her.

Wy Guy

I have so many cute pictures of Wyatt.  What can you do when he is just so cute!!  He is just such a happy baby.  Even when he isn't smiling he looks happy.  When he does smile his whole face lights up and then you add in those eyebrows and man is he adorable.  I know I'm bias, but hey this is my blog so I can say how cute my kids are right?
Wyatt started giving me kisses a few weeks ago.  He grabs my face in his little hands and gives me a very wet kiss and I love it.  It is so fun to be around someone who gets so excited to see you that they start kicking their legs and waving their arms.
Wyatt has outgrown his baby bathtub, but wasn't very impressed with the big bathtub.  I think he likes the security of the small one, so we switched back to that and he just hangs out of it.
He loves sitting up.  He loves to be able to look around and see what is going on.
He always has to have something in his mouth.  He is really starting to stare at things and grab them.  Keith has to be careful because he will pull his glasses right off his face before Keith has time to stop him.
I love this picture of Wyatt and Grandma.  Grandma is always so excited to hold Wyatt and of course Wyatt loves Grandma.  Who wouldn't?
