Our Fun Week

We started the week with Father's day.   We spoiled Keith with presents and breakfast in bed.  The kids were really excited to give him his presents.
Keith loved his shirt from Wyatt.  Wyatt loves Keith.  He gets so excited whenever he sees him and crawls over to him or reaches for him if I'm holding him.
Wednesday was my birthday.  Keith and the kids took good care of me.  We went to lunch and then spent the afternoon in the pool.  The kids love swimming every day.  Jonah lasts about 5 or 10 minutes before he has to get out and warm up in the sun.
On Thursday we went to Planet Play.  It is such a fun place.  We had lunch and then spent the afternoon playing games and letting the kids ride rides.  They had a mini bowling game that the kids loved.  I was so mad I forgot my camera.  We actually went on Wednesday and they had a power outage so we had to go back on Thursday and that time I forgot the camera.  They had a merry-go-round that the kids loved.  Wyatt loved it.  He was smiling, laughing and waving every time he passed by.  It killed me that I didn't have the camera. I also wanted a picture of Caitlyn bowling.  Every time she threw the ball she would lean while she watched it roll down the lane in hopes that it would make her ball curve.  Oh well, it was a fun day and I will just have to live with the pictures in my head!
Jonah has been a handful lately, but he is just so cute! He is so much fun and loves to laugh and play.  He gets so excited about things and can't wait to tell other people good news.
He loved having me throw him in the pool.  It was pretty funny to watch.
Wyatt wasn't so sure about the pool at first.  The water was a cold and he looked shocked at first.
Once he got used to the water he loved it.  He had a great time floating around.  Today he wanted us to hold him, but he still enjoyed it.
It has been a great week.  We have spent a lot of time together and it has been great.  We love spending time with our little family.  It was just the right combination of fun activities and taking time to relax.

11 Months

Another month has flown by and Wyatt will be 11 months old tomorrow.  He is still our happy little guy.  He loves to smile and make people laugh.
He still loves bath time.  Anytime I start the bath water within a few seconds Wyatt comes crawling in the bathroom.  He loves to splash in the water.
This is Wyatt's new trick.  He just realized that his finger fits up his nose and is having a ball sticking it up there all day.
Wyatt is always a good sport about being dragged around while we do activities for the older kids.  He was good about sitting in his stroller the other night while we were swimming.
We let Wyatt get in the pool the other night and he liked it.  I was surprised he enjoyed it so much because the water was pretty cold.
Wyatt loves to be standing.  He likes to push things around while he walks or hold our hands while he walks.  I try to let go and have him walk on his own and he will quickly squat down and get on his knees, he has no interest in walking on his own yet.
He has three teeth and one more is really close to breaking through. Two of his teeth came in at the same time and must have crowded each other because they came in crooked.
Wyatt loves his freedom to crawl around and explore.  He also loves to be held and has been a little clingy lately.  He has started dancing and clapping and we all love watching him show off.  He is a great eater and usually eats his dinner better than Caitlyn and Jonah.  He still takes two naps and sleeps well at night.  I can't believe how fast he is growing up.

Caitlyn's field trip

Today I was able to go with Caitlyn on her field trip to the zoo.  She really wanted me to go and I was glad because I wasn't excited about sending her to the zoo on a bus without me or Keith.  She was so excited to ride the bus.  I wasn't able to sit by her on the bus ride up there, but we were able to sit together on the way home.
I lucked out and I only had to keep track of four girls.  One kept wandering off, but other than that it wasn't too bad.
Keith had the day off work so he stayed home with the boys.  It was fun to be able to spend some time with Caitlyn.
It was fun to see her interacting with all the other kids and enjoying the animals.  I can't believe she is almost done with Kindergarten.  She is growing up too fast.  I love that she still wants to hold my hand and give me hugs in front of her friends.  I'm really glad I went, but oh man did I come home with a headache after chasing the kids and riding on the bus!

The Big Day

It was Keith's birthday this week and we all had fun celebrating.  The kids were so excited to give him his presents that they had to give them to him first thing in the morning.
The night before Jonah kept saying in a excited voice, "guess what Dad, tomorrow is your birthday."  It is fun to have the kids to make things exciting again.  That night we went out to dinner.  It was fun to spend time together as a family.
I love this picture even though I cut off Keith and Wyatt's head.  I love the look on Caitlyn's face.  She really does adore her dad.
Yesterday Jonah asked Keith to help him practice riding a two wheeler.  His friend next door got his training wheels off so Jonah wanted to practice on his bike.  I was doing a couple of things in the house and about 20 minutes later Keith came and asked if I wanted to see Jonah ride his two-wheeler?  I went out there and his training wheels were off and he was cruising around on his own.
Jonah is very determined and things seem to come pretty easy for him, much to Caitlyn's frustration.  He was so proud of himself.  He still has a hard time starting and stopping, but he is doing great.
He was so excited so I took him over to the gym so he could get more practice on the basketball court. It is so fun to see the kids learn new things.
Later we all went swimming.  Jonah loves to take his football when we go.  I told Jonah he should try the water slide.  He hasn't been tall enough when they measure him so he tried just going up and nobody stopped him.  I kind of feel guilty that I pretty much taught him to sneak.  Keith took him up there and he didn't dare go down.  I was waiting at the bottom with the camera and it ended up running out of batteries, so I didn't get a picture of him on the water slide.  I took him up there and he was nervous so I gave him a little push and he went down.  Luckily it worked out okay and he loved it.  He spent the rest of the time going down the water slide.
Caitlyn has always been our little fish.  She loves swimming.  She was really proud that she wasn't scared of the water slide when Jonah was.  While I was waiting for Jonah to come down Caitlyn came down about six times saying Jonah was next.
Wyatt loves the water too.  He has fun splashing and watching the kids play.  It was nice to spend some time together with just our little family.  Keith stays so busy with school and work that we really try to make the most out of the time we have together.

Our Soccer Star

Today was Jonah's last soccer game this season.  He did great.  I have had so much fun watching him play.  I played soccer for a long time and I love the game.  It has been great watching my son enjoy it and really excel at it.
He always makes the cutest faces after he gets a goal.  I was never able to catch it on camera, but this is pretty close.  Today after every goal he would have a proud smile on his face while he jogged down the field to give his coach a high five and line up for the kick off.
This is the funniest thing about soccer at this age.  It is just a mad rush for the ball.
Jonah has been thrilled to have friends and family come watch him play.  I'm grateful for everyone supporting him.  It means a lot to him and to me.
He had a great game today and scored eight goals.  He is a really good sport even though he has a not so secret rivalry with another boy on his team.  This boy is really good and he tends to just take the ball from Jonah right in front of the net and kick it in.  It is funny because Jonah is more worried about him than the kids on the other team.  He wants to make sure he doesn't take the ball from him. Jonah was so excited with his soccer medal that he received.  He has worn it all day and asked to take it to bed with him.  I'm excited for him to start again in the fall.

Exciting Stuff

This is very exciting stuff.  Caitlyn petting a dog!  She loves the little puppies next door and she was so proud of herself for petting them.  It has given her more confidence with dogs.  She is still scared of big dogs, but she is doing a lot better with small ones.
Caitlyn is such a creative girl.  She is always trying to come up with new ideas and new projects that she can create.  I love that about her.  When I went to check on her in bed tonight she told me that she had to put a cast on her bear because he fell out of bed and broke his arm.  I love how she made him a little sling.
Last weekend we put up our big pool in the back yard.  The kids were crazy enough to get in while it was filling up.  It wasn't even that warm outside and the water was freezing, but they still had fun.  Caitlyn begs to go swimming every day.  We really haven't had warm enough weather, but I have let them go in a few times.  They are just so excited that I can't help it.
I love this picture of Jonah, what a cutie!

The many faces of Wyatt

Wyatt is always making cute faces these days.  He still smiles a lot, but he makes you work for it a little more.
He pulls this face all the time.  Caitlyn and Jonah always laugh when he scrunches his nose and breathes loud so he does it a lot.  It is really cute because when they laugh he will start laughing and then do it again.  It is fun to see him try and make people laugh.
I can't help but laugh when I see this face.  He has started whining when I tell him no and I just laugh at him.  This is the face he pulls with a little fake cry.  It makes me laugh that he already fake cries.  I know it is fake because if he is mad we know it!  He will throw himself back and scream when he is really upset.
I checked on Wyatt during his nap and found him sleeping like this.  I don't know how kids can sleep in such weird positions.

Sunday Best

I love seeing the kids in their church clothes, they all look so cute.
Jonah is looking so grown up these days.  He is just so cute!  He has always had a cute personality that he uses to charm people to go along with that adorable face.
Caitlyn and I got haircuts the other day.  Do we look alike?

A day in the life of the kids

Time keeps going by so quickly.  I want to remember this time with my kids so I have been taking pictures of the day to day things this week.  Caitlyn and Jonah spend a lot of time in the backyard.  They can be entertained for hours back there.  They play on the swing set, ride bikes and play make-believe.  Wyatt likes to watch them from the window.
Jonah loves to swing.  He usually goes out and swings for a while after we drop Caitlyn off at school.  Lately he has been singing while he sings.  It is so cute.  I love to hear my kids belting out Rascal Flatts songs in the back yard.
Cailtyn loves to jump off the swing.  I love how pictures make things look a lot more dangerous than they really are.
Wyatt enjoys the swing set too.
He had a lot of fun swinging with the kids the other night.
I just love that sweet face!
We have a few boys Jonah's age close by and Jonah loves to be outside playing with them.  A few nights ago they were running around playing guns and riding bikes.  It was fun to watch him having so much fun.
The kids were really excited when the next door neighbors dog had puppies.  Jonah had fun holding them.  Caitlyn even pet them, which if you know Caitlyn, you know that is a huge deal! The kids keep asking if we can buy one of the puppies.  I have to admit that I considered it for a split second while I was holding one of them.
Jonah was thrilled to have his big cousins come watch his soccer game a couple of weeks ago. He really looks up to these guys and loves the attention they give him.  We spend a lot of time playing with cousins.
Caitlyn spends a lot of time playing with and trying to mother Wyatt.  She is always talking to him and trying to take him from room to room.  She asked me the other day if I would be okay with Wyatt while she was gone.  She is a funny girl.  I thought they were so sweet watching a movie together on the couch.
Jonah loves to give Wyatt attention too.  He loves to crawl next to him on the floor because Wyatt always laughs and tries to keep up with Jonah.
Wyatt seems to find trouble everywhere lately.  He is constantly trying to climb and grab anything that he shouldn't have.
His favorite is paper.  We have to keep everything up high so he can't get to it.  I forgot how hard this stage is.  I'm pretty sure he is finding more trouble than the other kids did.
When we are inside we spend of lot of time reading books with Mom and wrestling with Dad.  The kids also love to play hide and seek.  They just discovered that the pantry is a great hiding place.  Caitlyn is always wanting to make up stories, draw pictures or create her own games.  Jonah likes to play basketball in his room, play the wii, look at books, build with blocks or do somersaults around the great room (his record is 60 in a row).
