Pre-school Graduation

This cute guy graduated from pre-school today.  He has sure grown up over the past year.  He went to two different pre-schools this year and we loved both of them.
Mrs. Fox's pre-school is just down the street from us.  We heard great things about her when we moved in and we were not disappointed.  She asked all of the kids what their favorite animals were.  You can see Wyatt in the back smiling.  He said his was a gorilla and then he got to make a gorilla noise.
The graduation was very casual and laid back which I really liked.  I wish Wyatt would have been on the front row because it was hard to see him.  He knew all of the answers and sang all of the songs.  I loved seeing him smile up there.
He was very serious when they were going through the Amazing Alphabet and all of the letter sounds.
Wyatt had a tough time starting pre-school when we moved, there were a lot of tears and Jackie was so patient with him.  It didn't take long for him to get over his fears and feel comfortable there.  I'm very proud of Wyatt because he tried so hard and went even when he didn't want to.  After a few weeks he couldn't wait to go and he has loved it ever since.
Wyatt was excited to give Mrs. Fox her present.  Wyatt has learned a lot this year.  Mrs. Fox focuses on hands-on learning and I love that.  Although I don't think kids necessarily need pre-school I think it was really good for Wyatt and will help him be successful in school.  His separation anxiety may come back next year, but at least he will know he can conquer it.  My favorite thing about Jackie is she loves the kids she teaches.  She has told me many times how much she loves Wyatt.  I have enjoyed getting to know her and I'm glad that Hallee will get to be in her class in the fall.
We were glad that grandma Ham came to the graduation. She is always great about being there for all of the special events.
Wyatt was really excited for his bag from Mrs. Fox.  It had some of his work in it and some things he can work on this summer.
We are sure proud of Wyatt!  He has worked hard this year and learned a lot.  He is ready for Kindergarten!

Happenings

Keith and I never take pictures together so I decided we should take one when we got dressed up for an event last night.  Keith had to accept an award on behalf of his company at a charity event.  I decided to tag along with him for a little date.  It was at the Zions bank building in downtown Salt Lake.
Keith and I like to pretend we are young and hip sometimes!  The non-profit group that his company supports is called People Helping People, but last night they were focusing on their women's group.  They help women in poverty, especially single moms, improve their employment situation.  I'm pretty sure I was the only woman there who didn't have a professional career and it was a little awkward when people asked me what I did.  The social part was rough for me, but the awards ceremony was neat.  It was neat to hear form women that had been helped by the program.
Here Keith is accepting the award, I took this off of their Facebook page today.  He sure is handsome!

Wyatt is crazy over Jackson.  He had to hold him while I read him a book last night.  Wyatt is constantly picking up Jackson and hugging him.  I'm so glad Jackson is a patient dog.
This gorgeous girl came upstairs for school this morning and I couldn't help taking a few pictures.  She sure is beautiful.  I cut her hair last week and she didn't like it at first, but now she loves it.
Hallee was showing off for my mom today.
Here is Hallee giving grandma a hug goodbye after Wyatt's graduation today.
I love this picture. I'm so grateful that my mom is so supportive and involved with my kids!

Howley, we have the same dress!

I love how Tessa says Hallee, it sounds like, "Howley."  The girls were so excited when they showed up in the same dress to the boys soccer game.  They just don't come any cuter than these two!
Last week we went to Katie's to play.  Caitlyn loves to hold Kenzie and she was thrilled about playing with Kiara.
Katie bought donuts to celebrate Damon turning one.  The kids were all happy about that.
Jonah was so excited that Colin was there.  He loves Colin, he thinks he is so funny.  I think Colin loves the attention that Jonah gives him.  Poor Jonah fell off his scooter while we were there and landed on his face.  His nose and forehead are really scraped up.
All of the kids had fun playing while me, Tiff, Katie and Audrey visited.
Wyatt has decided that Life is his new favorite game.  He was thrilled that grandma played it with him while she was over this week.

Did Grandpa play in the NFL?

My dad asked if he could come spend some time with us one evening.  We were really excited.  One of the hardest things about my parents raising Dante and Alexys is that we don't get alone time with them.  It is a very different dynamic when it is just my kids with grandma and grandpa than when there are cousins there.  It meant so much to me that my dad wanted to come and spend time with us.  My mom does a great job of spending time with us as well.
Grandpa left work a little early and came and ate dinner with us.  The kids all fought over who got to sit by him.  After dinner the kids each took a turn showing him things and playing with him.  Hallee wanted to show him how she can "read" Green Eggs and Ham.
After a minute she decided that she would rather have grandpa read to her.
Jonah wanted to play catch with the football.  My dad was impressed with Jonah's skills!
Jonah's eyebrows shot up and he got a huge smile on his face when my dad threw him a perfect spiral.  He looked at me and said, "grandpa is good, did he used to play for the NFL."  He can't stop talking about how good grandpa is at football!
Wyatt showed grandpa his soccer skills and then had fun playing catch with him and Jonah.
Caitlyn wanted to show grandpa her room.  She has so many trinkets and treasures in there.  She thinks everything is a treasure.  She showed grandpa a video of her horseback riding.  I loved just sitting outside the door and listening to them talking away.
Grandpa brought his book that his mom used to read to him when he was a kid.  The kids loved listening to him read.
Everyone was sad when it was time to say goodbye.  It was a very fun, special night for us. We love you grandpa!

Soccer with Rockwell

Wyatt wanted to play soccer with Rockwell so we signed them up together in Lindon.  The season started as soon as Wyatt's season in Provo finished up.  Wyatt has always liked soccer, but he is really starting to love it.
I am so impressed and excited about how much Wyatt has improved.  He has awesome ball handling skills.  He can dribble really well and he has become really aggressive.  He will challenge anyone for the ball and he won't stop until he gets the ball.  I love it!  It is so great to see him work so hard and really improve.
The soccer field is twice the size of the one he played on in Provo, which makes a huge difference.  They have so much more room to play and the ball isn't constantly going out.
They had team pictures last week.  Our team is pretty much unstoppable, I feel sorry for the other teams we play.  We have one boy who is amazing and just makes goal after goal, then you add Wyatt and Rockwell in there and the other team doesn't have a chance.  Rockwell and Wyatt both had three goals in their first game.
I love watching Rockwell play.  He is really good and takes it so seriously.  He is so fast and has an amazing power kick.  Both of the boys love being on the same team.
I took a few pictures of the boys while we were waiting last week. They are the cutest!
Wyatt is sure growing up.  I'm so glad he has found something he loves to do!

Choir Concert

Caitlyn had her choir concert a couple of weeks ago.  She has loved taking choir.  She loves to sing and she has a beautiful voice.  The only hard part about choir is that she had to be at the school at 7:00 AM twice a week.  You know she loves something when she is willing to get up early for it.
They did the Maple, a traditional dance from England.  Caitlyn was excited that she got to be one of the ones doing it.
The choir sounded great and I loved the extra things they added in.
We had a bit of a scare when we couldn't find Wyatt.  We were looking everywhere for him and I finally saw him right up front.  You can see him behind the director.  I told him he could sit on the side if he couldn't see, but he thought I meant he could go up front.  It took us at least 5 minutes to find him.  We were searching the halls and the bathrooms.  Scary!
Caitlyn was thrilled that grandma Ham came down for the concert.  Grandma was able to come early and eat dinner with us.  We loved having her all to ourselves.
Hallee is a crack up.  She says and does the funniest things.
We had a fun night supporting Caitlyn.

The many faces of Hallee

Hallee is so expressive when she talks, I love it.  Yesterday we were playing perfection and she was making the funniest faces.  It is hard to capture them, but I got some of them.
This is her excited face, she will raise her eyebrows and smile really big, you can even see it in her neck.
She is constantly saying the funniest things and the facial expressions make it even more funny.
This was her face while she was waiting for perfection to pop up.  She kept saying, "I'm so scared!"
I love her dimple on her cheek.
Her smile is so beautiful!  I just need to freeze time on her right now!  She keeps us laughing all of the time.
