We are the champions!

What a game!  Jonah's team had their championship game tonight!  It was a single elimination tournament so they had to win three in a row to win the championship.  Jonah got sick last night so we were worried that he wouldn't be able to play today.  I kept him home from school today to make sure he was okay.  Luckily, he got the flu just like Cailtyn, he threw up once and was fine right after.  He ate normal today and felt fine so we let him play.
I could tell Jonah was nervous before the game.   He wanted this win so bad.
We made sure we were there really early so he had plenty of time to warm up.
The game was so intense.  The game was neck and neck right up until the last few minutes.  Jonah had a great game, probably one of his best.  Every time his team fell behind Jonah would make a basket to keep them in the game.
He worked so hard on his defense and rebounds.  I loved seeing him give it his all.  He was so proud of himself.  I love that Jonah didn't focus on how many points he had, but instead he talked about how he got in on every play and worked hard for rebounds.  We are really trying to focus on the effort instead of the result.
The crowd was really into the game, everyone was on the edge of their seat because it was such a close game.  In the last minute we pulled ahead by three and then Kyle hit another shot to seal the deal.  I love seeing all the boys' big smiles as they walked off the court.
The champions got medals and shirts!  The coach said something nice about each boy as they passed out their stuff.  I love his coaches.  They were so positive with the boys and they taught them so much.
This team worked so hard.  It was so fun to see their improvement. All of the boys were so excited!  It was like they were a different team for the second half of the season.
Jonah loved playing with Kyle.  They were so excited that they were on the same team.
Jonah worked so hard this season.  He worked so hard at practice, listened to everything his coaches had to say and practiced a lot on his own.  I'm so glad that his hard work paid off and he that he feels proud of his hard work.  It was great to end the season on such a high.  Way to go Jonah.

Jump on It

We have been wanting to go to pre-school time at Jump on it for a while, we finally made it on Friday.  Wyatt and Hallee had a blast.
They love jumping into the foam blocks.
It was great to get out, we had been staying home all week since Keith had the flu.  I thought we were in the clear since so much time had passed and then I got it the next day!
When did this boy get so old.  He asked me to take a picture of him like this!  We had fun playing dodge ball and basketball together.  Jumping on trampolines is sure a good work out!
Hallee had fun running from place to place, she especially loved sliding down the trampolines.
Wyatt loved swinging on the ropes.  It was a fun afternoon for me and the littles!

Bulldog Basketball

Jonah has had a great basketball season.  His coaches are amazing.  I don't know how they do it, they have seven kids and found time to coach one of their son's teams.  I'm so grateful they did, they have taught the boys so much!
The team has come so far since their first game.  They are working so well together and they are all working so hard.
Here is Jonah nailing one of his free throws. He has been practicing so hard on his free throws, I was so happy to see it pay off!
Jonah's defense has improved so much this year.  I'm so proud of his hard work.
I was so sad that I missed his game yesterday.  They pulled off the win so tomorrow they will play in their Championship game.  Jonah is so excited and so are we.  I'm so glad it has been such a good experience for him.

Around the house

Hallee was so excited to show me how many hats she had on her head!
I checked in with her pre-school teacher to see how Hallee is doing.  Jackie sang her praises and said that academically she is ready for Kindergarten, but she is still very shy.  She said she will answer questions now, but she doesn't talk to the other kids very often and her biggest concern with Hallee is that she doesn't communicate her needs.  I was a little surprised to hear that, she loves pre-school and talks non-stop when she comes home.  Jackie said she will play with the other kids every once in a while.  I keep encouraging Hallee to ask to play with the other kids, but it is so hard for her.  Poor girl, it is so hard to be shy. We are still leaning towards starting her next year, but it did give me some things to think about.
My kids love to play in their closets.  Caitlyn and Hallee love to watch shows in Hallee's closet.
I love Jackson's curly hair after I give him a bath.
Everyone loves Jackson.  The kids can't wait to get him out of his bed every morning.
Keith came home with the flu on Tuesday.  You know Keith is really sick if he comes home from work.  Wyatt made him a card and gave him a treat.  I got hit with the nasty flu yesterday and this morning Wyatt came in and gave me this note and these flowers.  Wyatt is such a sweet kid.  He is so sensitive and very concerned about other people.  His wife will be one lucky lady!  The other night Jonah was reading Harry Potter to Wyatt and Wyatt was in tears because he couldn't believe how rude Harry's aunt and uncle were to him.  Poor kid, he feels things so deeply, but it does make him so sweet!
Caitlyn threw up last week and was fine right after, but the rest of the kids have been okay.  I have been flat in bed for two days.  This flu is a nasty one!  I'm so grateful it hit me on the weekend while Keith was home, I couldn't have taken care of the kids.  We all stayed home from church today to play it safe and try not to pass it around.  The kids had fun building a snowman.
They changed their mind at the end and made it into a snow bunny!  I really hope no one else gets this flu.  This time of year is so hard, there are so many things going around.

Kindergarten Program

Last week Wyatt had his Kindergarten program.  He was really excited about it.
They went through a story about a chick and a wolf.  It was cute, but a little hard to follow, but a big part of that was the fact that the microphone kept having problems.
They sang some cute songs.  Wyatt knew all of them and sang his little heart out.
Mrs. Cox gave Wyatt a speaking part.  He memorized it right away and did a great job saying it loud and clear.
I love the songs with the actions, the kids always have fun with those.
I loved seeing him smiling up there the whole time.
After the program we got to go to his classroom for cookies.  He ran right in and got a cookie for all of us.
He was so excited that dad was there to watch him.  It was even better when Keith didn't go back to work and went and played with the kids at the park!  We love having Keith home!

100-year-old Wyatt

Wyatt dressed up like a 100-year-old for his 100th day of school.  He sure looked cute.
He was really excited about it so we bought him some hair dye and came up with his outfit.
He wanted to be grumpy old man!
He panicked Wednesday morning and didn't want to dress up.  I argued with him for a minute and then I told him that I didn't care, he could do it or not do it.  He gets so nervous about people laughing at him, so I didn't want him to be uncomfortable all day.  Right before school he decided he did want to dress up so we hurried and got him dressed and ready.  He told me after school that he was glad that he did.

Valentine's Day

Keith surprised us and had all of this waiting for us on Valentine's day.  There were chocolates and flowers for the girls and treats for the boys and homemade valentines for all of us. He is so thoughtful.
I bought a vase and some candy and made him a yummy valentine.  Hallee and Wyatt helped me pick out a balloon and we stopped and got him some lunch.  We dropped all of that off at his work.  Keith and I went out for a quick dinner that night.  It was a great day.
Rockwell had his birthday party at Classic.  Wyatt was so excited!  I can't believe that Rockwell is 7-years-old.  He is such a cool kid.  He is so fun to be around and he is such a great friend to Wyatt.  I'm so glad Wyatt has a cousin who is his best friend.
We knew Rockwell would love our Pokémon presents!  The party was so much fun.  The boys ran back and forth between the bounce houses and riding their scooters.  They pretty much had the place to themselves.
The big slide was a favorite.
I took Hallee with us because the older kids were swimming.  Hallee didn't like Classic last time so I was a little worried about taking her.  She loved it!  It helped that it wasn't crowded, but she is also getting so much more daring.
It has been a year since we got Jackson.  I never would have thought that I would be a dog person, but I really do love him.  He can be crazy and overwhelming at times, but he is really fun to have around.  He has been so good for the kids, they all love him.  Who would have thought we would be a dog family!
Wyatt went to school late last Thursday, so it was just the two of us while the rest of the kids were at school.  We went over to the parkway and he rode his bike while I ran/walked.  It was great to be outside again.  Sometimes I get discouraged feeling like I am out of shape, but Wyatt had a hard time keeping up with me, so that made me feel better.  I just keep plugging away.  It was fun to have some alone time with Wyatt.

Around the house

Keith is so good at playing with the kids.   Hallee wanted to go to a ball so she got all dressed up and asked Keith to dance with her.
I had fun watching them. She sure loves her daddy!
She pulls this face all of the time now, she says it is her new smile.
I love how her hair is flying out in this picture.
Wyatt wanted to get in on the dancing so he partnered up with Jackson.
Wyatt loves to show off how strong he is.  He wanted us all to see that he could give Jonah a piggy back.
He decided to give Caitlyn a piggy back too.
After all of that they decided to all dog pile on our bed.  I love when we have nights at home.
