Work with dad

All of the 7th graders had the day off on Thursday and they were supposed to job shadow someone.  Caitlyn was excited to go to work with Keith.
Keith made sure to give Caitlyn plenty of work so she could get a real feel for what he does every day.  He told his employees that she was the boss for the day so they had to run things by her.  One lady asked if she could take a long lunch and come back at 2 PM, Caitlyn said "okay, but don't be later than that."  Keith said his employees got a kick out of that.
They went to CafĂ© Rio for lunch. Caitlyn was just going to stay for a couple of hours, but she ended up staying all day.  She loved it and wished she could have gone back today instead of going to school.
Jonah had his last game on Monday.  It was a heart breaker, they lost by a few points.  Here Jonah is with his coach.  His coach was great and Jonah loved him.
We wanted to get the coach a gift to say thank you for all of his time and effort.  I ordered this frame online.  It has all of the boys names on the side.  One of the boy's mom took pictures for us a couple of weeks ago, but she hasn't sent them out yet and didn't respond when I asked her about them, so I went ahead and put in the best picture I could find.  I really wish it could have been a team picture.  Jonah and I ran the gift over to him last night.  He was really excited about it and said it was the nicest thing anyone had given him.  Jonah wrote him a nice thank you note.  I talked to Jonah about how important it is to show our appreciation to people on the way home.  It always feels good to be appreciated.

Temple Square

Tuesday afternoon we drove downtown.  The older kids did baptisms for the dead in the Salt Lake Temple.
Caitlyn was really excited about it.  They had a neat experience.
I stayed out with these three.  Tiff was so sweet and kept Hallee and Wyatt until Keith got home from work.  I knew it would be a late night and that way Wyatt could go to his soccer game.
We started out going to the church history museum.  We had fun walking around and looking at everything.
After we looked around the kids had fun in the children's area for a while.
After that we walked over to temple square and looked around a little.
We thought they would be out soon so we stuck right around the temple.
They had fun turning this into a slide!
It was fun to hang out with these three.
After that we went to mom's for dinner and then we all went to Leatherby's.
Caitlyn was thrilled to get to hang out with Amarie!
Jonah and Jacob decided to order a big sundae and split it. I asked Jonah why they didn't both get a smaller one of their own and he said, "because it will look cool."  Funny boys!
We didn't get back home until late.  We got the kids in bed and Julie and Lindy packed up.  We were so sad to say goodbye to all of them!  Lindy and I stayed up late talking and watching videos, that was fun!  We were all sad the next day when they were gone.  It was so fun to have them here, it went by way too fast!

The Parkway

.
On Tuesday morning we went over to the Parkway.  I love the parkway, I love that everyone can have fun along the trail.
Wyatt decided to wear a mustache!
There are so many fun places to climb and explore.
The boys made me nervous with their climbing.
Wyatt loved borrowing Tessa's bike. He loved putting his hands behind his head and coasting down the hills.
There is a great spot where we can walk out on the rocks and get right next to the water.  The kids loved throwing rocks in the water.
Sticks and rocks could keep the kids happy all day!
Lindy and I walked back while everyone was still playing so we could get Hallee from school and then check Caitlyn out early.
All of the kids stayed at our house with grandma while the girls went out to lunch.  We couldn't get a selfie to work so Tiff took the picture.  It was great to visit and eat.  Later Julie, Lindy and I went shopping.

Jordan River Temple open house

On Monday we all went to the Jordan River Temple open house.  I love that our kids have been able to go to so many open houses.  They know what to expect and they do a good job of being reverent.
Wyatt wanted to wear his suit.  He sure is a good looking kid!
The kids were happy that our cousins came with us.
Studs!
The tour went pretty quickly.
Lindy was great and took Hallee with her through most of the tour.  Hallee loves Lindy!
It was beautiful inside.  We snapped a few pictures on the way back to the car, but sun didn't cooperate.
I'm glad we were able to go.

Birthday Celebration

We celebrated Cailtyn's birthday on Sunday.  She was excited to open her presents.
I love how she gets so excited about everything.
I was excited about this back pack that I picked out for her.  Caitlyn's back packs keep ripping because she carries so much stuff around and doesn't have time to go to her locker.  Hopefully this one will be strong enough for her.
They had a boutique sale in March which turned out to be a great place to buy Caitlyn new clothes and shoes for her birthday.
She loved all of her presents.
Caitlyn sure loves her grandma and grandpa.
We sure love Caitlyn.  I can't believe I have been a mom for thirteen years, no wonder I'm so tired! We love being Caitlyn's parents.
EJ celebrated his 18th birthday!  I can hardly believe that.  I have loved watching him grow up.  He is an amazing young man with a very bright future!  I can't wait to see all of the amazing things he is going to do with his life.  I love his personality, he is so laid back and funny and so much fun to be around.
Caitlyn loved having the Ham's here to celebrate with her.
We celebrated dad's birthday too.  These three certainly deserve to be celebrated!

Party at Grandma's

Julie and Ashley got here late Saturday night.  Julie and I stayed up way too late talking, but it was so great to see her and talk to her!  I love Julie! On Sunday they came to church with us.  After Sacrament meeting Julie and I decided we should go listen to Tiff's lesson.  Luckily I wasn't teaching so we were able to go over to Tiff's ward for Relief Society.  She did a great job!
After church we went up to Mom's house for a birthday dinner and Easter celebration.
Could these boys be any cuter?
We had a yummy Easter dinner and then the kids were excited for the Easter egg hunt.  Hallee and Tessa wanted to hold hands, so cute!
It was snowing that day so we had to break up the hunt.  The little kids went first in the garage. It was so fun to see their excitement.
Next it was the big kids turn.  We sure have good looking kids in our family.
Wyatt and Rockwell were thrilled that Ammon taught them how to make farting noises with their armpits.
I love these ladies, I sure got lucky with such amazing sisters who are my best friends.  We missed Lori and we always miss Jen.  I love them all and love spending time with them!
Mom wanted in on the pictures!  We sure lucked out with such a great mom and grandma to our kids!
I was happy to finally see Lindy.  I loved spending time with her.  She is such an amazing girl and so much fun to be with!
