Wyatt's birthday

Wyatt told me that he wanted to make eggs and waffles for his birthday breakfast.  He loves to cook so he wanted to make the breakfast.  I helped him and they both turned out great.
Wyatt was excited to open presents after breakfast.
The only thing Wyatt asked for was a skateboard so he was surprised with everything else.
Caitlyn and Jonah both got him a Rubik's cube.  He collects them, so he never can have too many!
He was excited about his new water bottle, sports bag and the Percy Jackson book set.
I waited until the last minute to order the skateboard because he kept changing his mind on what he wanted.
Hallee gave him $5.  He was excited about all of his presents.
He went right outside to try out his new skateboard.
We had an early dinner. Wyatt chose cream cheese chicken.  This boy loves chicken!
After that we all played the melt the penguin ice cube game.
It was funny to watch Hallee when she had to put the ice cube down her shirt.
Caitlyn made two penguin cakes the other day, so we ate the second one that night.
Later Wyatt wanted to go to the river trail to ride his skateboard.  It was nice to get out, but it was sure hot!
Jonah loves to climb this tree and he loves to make his mom nervous! When we got home Wyatt wanted to play video games with Jonah for a while and then he got to stay up late with mom and dad.  He wanted to watch You Tube videos.  We had a great day celebrating Wyatt!

10-years-old

This handsome guy will be 10-years-old tomorrow.  It is crazy how quickly he has grown up.  He is looking older and more handsome every day.
Wyatt and I went to Nelson's grove to take pictures this week.  Wyatt hates taking pictures so I promised him that it would be short and sweet.  He was so cooperative and we were done in record time.
Wyatt is such a fun kid.  He loves to laugh and have fun.  He especially loves to laugh and be goofy with Jonah.  He looks up to Jonah so much and he feels so special when Jonah spends time with him.

Wyatt is very intelligent, he loves to learn new things.  He loves to learn facts about animals and he wants to learn how to do complex math problems. He likes to read if he is interested in the book.
Wyatt is always making goofy faces. This is one of his favorite ones to make when he has said something funny.
This is another face he makes a lot.
Wyatt is a rule follower.  He really wants to do the right thing and he feels bad when he does something he shouldn't. He used to feel so bad that he would think or say bad things about himself, but he is getting a lot better about that.  We are always reassuring him that he is a great kid.  It makes me happy that I can see that he is starting to know that.
Wyatt loves break dancing, it has been such a great fit for him.  He loves to go to class each week and he works on his moves at home.  He doesn't like a lot of attention so he has to be in the right mood to show us his moves. I love watching him dance and I'm always asking him to show me what he is learning.
It has been so good for him to have soccer and break dancing.  This quarantine has been hard for him. He is a home body, but he has definitely missed the social interactions at school and church. He has been a lot more social lately.  I'm so grateful he has Rockwell so close by!
Wyatt loves animals, especially penguins and dogs.  Jackson is a calming presence for Wyatt.  When Wyatt is sad or upset he will hold Jackson.
Wyatt loves watching YouTube videos.  He loves watching ones with trick shots, pranks and anything with Unspeakable. He also loves to play video games, especially Minecraft.
Wyatt is obsessive.  He gets obsessed with different things and he loves them for a short time and then he moves on to something else.  He loves to exercise.  He loves to use his pull up bar and our elliptical machine.
Wyatt is a kind, compassionate kid.  He worries about other people and their feelings.  He is a great friend and is nice to everyone. He is hard working, when he sets his mind to something he will work really hard to achieve it.  He loves to do big jobs.  He mowed the whole lawn last week and always offers to help me with jobs. Wyatt loves chicken, broccoli and dr. pepper.
We are so blessed to have Wyatt in our family.

Random Stuff

Wyatt adores Jackson.  He is constantly hugging him and carrying him around.
Cailtyn loves animals and they always love her.
Lori sent me this picture of the girls asleep in the car.  They were always so tired because they wanted to stay up late every night.  Anytime we drove to Salt Lake they would fall asleep in the car.
I took Wyatt and Hallee to the skate park and Wyatt and I bought some time on an electric scooter.  Hallee didn't want to ride.  It was a lot of fun.
We had a few rainy days this week.  Hallee wanted to go out and play in the rain.
Wyatt and Rockwell had a scrimmage this week.  They both played great!  We loved watching them.  I've missed watching sports!
Hallee, Tessa and Damon had fun playing together during the game.
Mel brought Amarie down for a sleepover and spent the evening with us. She came to the soccer game. I always love spending time with my sisters.  While we were at the game the girls made cakes.  They turned out so cute!

Pioneer Day

Katie invited all of us over for July 24th.  I'm so grateful for this group of friends. We are so lucky to have such great friends that we all love.  I love visiting with all of them and I love all of their kids.
Katie always throws a great party! There was so much delicious food.
Ataiya and Amarie came too and the four girls had a great time together.
These cute boys had a great time playing in the pool.
The girls are always coming up with games to play in the pool.  I love hearing their pretend play.
The kids love doing tricks off the diving board.
It's amazing how well all of the kids swim since Katie got a pool.
Wyatt and Jonah have so much fun together.  They have started getting along so well in the last year.  I love it!
It's always fun to hear what the teenagers have to say.  They are funny girls!
Hallee and Tessa thought it was so cool that Hallee could carry Tessa on her shoulders.
Wyatt and Jonah tried some different tricks off the diving board.  Wyatt's back was so red after it slapped the water after this jump.
Jonah took Hallee on his back once too.
We had a great time visiting with the adults and playing with the kids in the pool.
Ben and Jonah worked on a trick shot.  Ben would throw the ball to Jonah while he was on the diving board and then Jonah would try and make a basket.  He made it twice and I caught one of them on video.
It was a perfect night. The weather was perfect, the food was great, the company was excellent and we all loved spending the evening in the pool.  We stayed until it was dark and watched some fireworks from the pool.  It was so fun!
