Random Stuff

Wyatt wanted to go for a ride on the parkway.
He wanted to see the goats.  He had fun feeding them leaves.
Wyatt got his braces off on Friday!  He will get a couple of years off before he goes in for phase two.
Jonah's football coach let them know that they took 2nd place this season so they all got medals.
I saw a sloth and llama coloring book at the store and I had to buy it for Hallee.  I had fun coloring with her this weekend.
Wyatt wanted to draw a Halloween picture.  He sure looks grown up!
Amarie stayed at our house Friday night.  Caitlyn had so much fun with her.  They went to a corn maze, shopping, scooter rides and Lindy came over to bake with them on Saturday.
On Sunday I took Caitlyn driving.  She wanted Jonah to come to see how good she is doing.  It is scary to teach your kids to drive, but Caitlyn is doing great.  We let Jonah have a turn to drive in the High School parking lot too.  He even drove in the neighborhood a little bit.
I helped Wyatt and Hallee set up the tent on Sunday.  They had fun playing in there together.
Wyatt was so excited to help Keith grill chicken on Sunday.
Hallee wanted a haircut so I decided to cut it on Monday.  It is hard to get it all even, but I think it turned out cute.
She looks adoarble!
Monday night we had our annual Halloween dinner. Hallee was so excited about it and helped me make it.
Paige posted some of their wedding pictures so I stole a few.  I love this one with the temple in the background.
I love this one with Paige smiling in the background.
Here is Kyle's side of the family.

The rest of Fall Break

Wyatt and Hallee pulled out these battle bots and the kids have had fun playing with them.  Jonah got the new Dragon Watch book so he has been reading a lot.
Wyatt had fun making a car out of a box.  Keith helped him make duct tape suspenders so he didn't have to hold it up.
On Monday we dropped Caitlyn off at tennis and then me, Hallee and Wyatt went to hike Battle Creek Falls with Tiff and the kids.
Hallee and Tessa wanted to be in front on the way up and on the way down they said they wanted to be in the back so no one would bother them!  I love that they are always playing some make-believe game.
Of course I loved all of the Fall colors.
The kids all found a stick that they were excited about.
Wyatt is obsessed with steep climbing right now.  He kept asking to climb up hills.  It is hard to know when I need to relax and let him do things and when I should say no because it's too dangerous.
The kids loved stopping on the bridge to play in the water.
Wyatt was constantly on the lookout for a hill to climb.
The views were beautiful.
Waterfall hikes are my favorite.  I love the sound of water and the mist from the waterfall.
Sister selfie!  We love spending time with Tiff and the kids!
We stayed at the waterfall for a few minutes and then headed back down.
I had to get another picture of that beautiful view!
Wyatt and Rockwell had fun sword fighting with their sticks.  After the hike we went to a park and let the kids play for a while.  The weather was perfect!
Monday night we carved pumpkins.  Jonah couldn't stand the smell so he just watched.
Wyatt and Caitlyn were so excited to carve the pumpkins.
Hallee wanted to paint her pumpkins.
Keith carved Jonah's pumpkin since he didn't want to.
They turned out cute.
Wyatt has been talking nonstop about carving pumpkins, so I'm glad he can move on with his life now!
We only had one good candle so we could only light one pumpkin, but the kids were happy with how they turned out.
Hallee looked so sweet sleeping tonight.
I took this picture a couple of weeks ago.  I love when my kids fall asleep reading.
I took a few pictures on my walk today.  I can't get over how beautiful the river trail is.
I just love living so close to the trail.  I love that most of the trail is shaded with big, beautiful trees and I love hearing the rushing water in the river while I walk.

Fall Break

We kicked off Fall break by going to the canyon with Tiff and Katie Wednesday afternoon.  We drove through Butterfield Canyon.  It was really pretty.  There wasn't many options for getting out of the car, but we stopped for a minute for some pictures and the kids played for a while.
I love visiting with Tiff and Katie!  The kids played for a little bit and then we took them to a park.  They all had a great time.
On Thursday we went to the aquarium.  Caitlyn and Jonah didn't want to go, but Hallee and Wyatt were so excited to go.  The penguins were so fun to watch.
These two penguins kept playing or fighting, we aren't sure which one.  They would chase each other and then one of them pushed the other one in the water.
They would swim around for a while and then jump out of the water.  I love watching them jump out of the water, they get momentum going and just shoot up out of the water.
After we watched them for a while we went down below to watch them swim under the water. They were definitely the most fun animals to watch that day.
The kids liked the Halloween decorations that they had through out the building.
Caitlyn had tennis every day during Fall break.  On Thursday Lindy came over to do laundry and help Caitlyn with her math.  We love having Lindy live so close!  Caitlyn and Lindy went out to ice cream later before we took her home.  Caitlyn loved spending the evening with her.
Hallee took her turn cooking dinner. She helped me make soup and grilled sandwiches.
Jonah made pasta and garlic bread for his dinner. Jonah was able to hang out with his friends a few times during the break.
On Friday I took Hallee and Wyatt and we joined the Barths at the movie. We saw "War with Grandpa."  It was really funny.
Wyatt's two favorite things are soda and popcorn, so he was a happy boy!
After the movie I took the kids shopping and they picked out Halloween costumes. Hopefully they will get to use them this year!
Hallee found this tray and liked to bring people drinks on it.  She wanted to sit outside with me and read while we ate snacks.
I could do this all day!
Keith and I have been focusing on being prepared with food storage and other supplies. We bought a big water barrel on Saturday and Wyatt helped Keith fill it up.  We bought an extra propane tank and I have been stocking up on supplies and food where I can.  We are both worried about what will happen after the election.  Hopefully things won't go crazy, but either way we feel an urgency to get prepared and feel like things will continue to be chaotic as we get closer to the second coming.
They pushed back moving to Phase 2 for the Jr. High and High School again.  It doesn't sound like it will be happening anytime soon.  They said they will have a new plan in the middle of November, but it will keep the school at 50% capacity, so I don't think Caitlyn and Jonah will be going more than two days a week anytime soon.  Our neighbor was selling a desk and we decided to buy it for Jonah.  He has been using a TV tray.  He is happy with his new set up.
Caitlyn asked me to take her to the store and she bought Jonah supplies for his desk.  She is so sweet and thoughtful!
Caitlyn has been struggling with bad anxiety for a while now.  It is so hard to watch your kids struggle, especially when you can't fix it for them.  Caitlyn loves Llama's so while we were shopping on Saturday I picked this up for her and gave her a little note to let her know we care.  Hallee loved the Llama too and bought herself one. Caitlyn was so sweet and played stuffed animals with Hallee.
On Saturday evening Jonah and Wyatt rode up to 7-11 for a Slurpee.  Wyatt loves hanging out with Jonah and feeling like one of the big kids!
Caitlyn was babysitting Saturday evening and Keith took Hallee and Jackson on a walk so I had the house to myself for a few minutes.  My anxiety has been heightened lately, so it was a much needed break for me!
