Shallow

Hallee has always loved the song, "Shallow."  She sings it all the time, especially when we swim in Matt and Lori's pool.  Matt told me that he thinks of Hallee every time he hears that song.  Hallee had to pick a love song for her February showcase so she knew she wanted to sing "Shallow."
Cayden and Caitlyn had to work that day, but they were able to go in late so they could watch her.  It worked out great because it was right by the mall where they work.  Cayden brought Hallee flowers, which was so sweet.  Caitlyn decided to break up with Cayden.  It has been really hard for her because she really likes him, but feels like they are in different places in life and he is ready to move a lot faster than she is.  I'm proud of Caitlyn for doing what she thought was right, even though it was really hard for her.  She is still trying to figure it all out and is feeling better, so I'm grateful for that.
Jonah was at work so he wasn't able to come.
They sang at a pizzeria.  There wasn't a ton of room so they did it in shifts.  Hallee's whole class sang a song together first.
They did a great job.  Hallee enjoys having class with these kids every week.
Hallee sang last this time, so she had to wait nervously while all the other kids sang. She gets nervous before, but she said once she starts singing that she doesn't feel nervous anymore.
She got up there and did a beautiful job.  Her voice just keeps getting better and better!
This song was perfect for her and she did an amazing job.
The crowd loved it and I she was happy with her performance.  Lara asked her to be in the grand finale concert in May.  The show is mostly dance, but they ask a couple of people to sing.  It doesn't surprise me at all that they picked Hallee.
After that Hallee and I went with grandma to Subway and to get frozen yogurt.  It was fun to have some time with grandma!

Weekend with the Hams

Lindy is on a dance company at BYU and she had a performance on President's Day weekend.  Gary and Julie and the kids flew in to watch her.  We were so excited to have them in town.  We all went to watch Lindy on Saturday and she did amazing. She is a beautiful dancer and an amazing performer.
Gary and Julie and the kids flew in Friday night, of course their flight was late so that was a bummer. We were excited that they stayed with us.  Gary flew back Saturday night, but the rest of them stayed until Monday.  I loved having a chance to visit with Gary on Saturday.  After the performance on Saturday we went to Costa Vida for dinner and then everyone came over to our house to visit.
On Sunday Jonah spoke in church.  He did an awesome job.  I was so proud of him for being willing to do it and for putting a lot of time and effort into it.  It was fun to have Julie and the kids there to listen to him.
After church I made a quick dinner and we all ate and then went to mom and dads to play games.  I'm glad the cousins had lots of time to hang out together.
Wyatt was so excited to have Ammon here and had so much fun with him.
Kyle and Paige came over to play games after we got home from mom and dad's house.
Wyatt and Ammon had fun playing a game with Kyle.
The rest of us played games together in the front room.  Cayden came over to play games with us and Lindy's friend Blake from her mission came up for the weekend.  He was really easy to talk to and fun to have around.
We laughed so much.  Especially during the caveman game.
On Monday Kyle brought breakfast over and most of them went and played pickleball.  I took them to the airport that afternoon.  It was a quick trip, but it was so fun and I felt like I got a lot of quality time with them.  We are so excited that Julie and the kids are coming back in a couple of weeks!
