More Ballroom

Wyatt participated in the District Day of Dance at Provo High.
They did two numbers.
They danced to Hollywood, this is the one they do for competitions.  I love it!
They also did a fox trot number. He is so good!
We all went and watched him.  Jonah's mission call came during the performance.  I didn't get a picture of Jonah with Wyatt.
Hallee and her friend Alisha thought it would be funny to give Wyatt this funny looking pear that they got at lunch.  Wyatt wasn't impressed, ha!
Last weekend Wyatt had a competition. He didn't do any couple competition, just the group competition.
He always looks so good and we love watching him.
Hollywood took 2nd place and they were happy about that!

February

Hallee was thrilled to have Tessa come over and spend a Saturday with her.
They painted nails.
Hallee is so good at painting nails. I'm amazed she can do that on herself.
They painted canvases and made a cute one for grandma for her birthday.
Wyatt got creative with his Dr. Pepper cans.
Wyatt's hair is getting really curly.
He likes it short so you can't see the curls, but I was surprised when I gave him a haircut just how curly his hair is.
Jonah went to Sweethearts with Sawyer.
Sawyer got them matching shoes for Christmas.
They had a great time.
Caitlyn and her roommates stayed with us for one night so they could go to a concert in Salt Lake.  Caitlyn had a great time! I'm grateful she likes her roommates so much.
I made them a big breakfast before they went back to Cedar City.  I made cinnamon roll biscuits like my mom used to make.  We had fun visiting with them and getting to know them better.
It was super bowl that weekend, it was a busy weekend! We had a low key super bowl with just our family.  Jonah even stayed home and watched with us, that was nice.  The game was disappointing, but we enjoyed family time and good food.
Caitlyn came home to work for President's day weekend. She was excited to go visit grandma.  She got her this horse for her birthday.
Grandma loved seeing Caitlyn.  While we were taking mom for a walk we walked by Richard (another resident) and he had a black eye and mom said, “He fell and broke his head and Jill came tumbling after.”
Matt and Lori came into town for a quick visit.
On Saturday Tiff and I went to see mom and then went to dad's and visited for a while. Tiff took this picture.
On Sunday Keith, Caitlyn and I went to visit mom.  Matt and Lori came over after they visited Lori's mom. Mel and dad came over too. We visited with mom until she went to dinner.  I think she enjoys listening to her family visiting.  She laughs and adds comments, but seems content to just listen.
Elena and Caitlyn took mom to the dining room before we left.  They are both so sweet with her.
I got some frozen lasagnas so we went over to dad's to cook them so we could eat before Matt and Lori needed to leave for the airport.  It was so great to have Matt, Lori and Elena here.
It was great to spend time together.  It was hard that mom wasn't there. It feels wrong to leave her there when we go back to the house without her.  This is so hard and doesn't seem to get easier.
Mel and I have gone a few times to visit mom. I have a very hard time leaving.  We got mom all ready for bed and then I read to her until she fell asleep.  It's much easier to leave when she is asleep.
Mel and I went on Friday.  I plucked mom's chin hairs and brushed her hair.  We Facetimed a few people and it was pretty funny. I kept asking mom if she wanted to moon people when we were waiting for them to answer and she would always tell me no.  I told Matt that mom wanted to moon him, but I talked her out of it.  Mom laughed and corrected me. I love to make her smile and laugh.  She says some funny things too.  She said, "we talked about mooning in Sunday School and Jonah wanted me to moon people."  Ha! Matt was talking about seeing the planets that night and we started joking about Uranus and mom thought that was pretty funny too.
Amarie and Caitlyn were together so we Facetimed them too.  Grandma was happy to see them.
Mom asked Mel to read to her, so she did that until mom went to dinner.  We stayed until mom got back from dinner.
We got her ready for bed and asked if she wanted us to stay and visit until she fell asleep, which she did.  She is anxious a lot, so it's so nice to see her peacefully sleeping.
Wyatt went to Rockwell's birthday party.
He had a great time.
I took the kids to get drinks one day after school.
We didn't know it was free Slurpee day so they got both.
I have my grandpa's jacket in the coat closet and Caitlyn and Jonah have both asked to wear it. I like when they do!
We took Katie out to dinner for her birthday.  It's always great to spend time with these ladies.
Every year Provo High does a food drive and they have students stay in a box by the office to help raise money.
The students voted on who they wanted in the box. Jonah had to be on the list of people who they voted on since he is in student government.
When they raised a certain amount of money they had to do things.  Jonah wore a tutu, got a make over, got his arm pained and got his leg waxed.  They also had to eat Raising Canes all blended up.  Jonah said they felt sick after that so I took him over some healthy dinner and fruits and vegetables for everyone in the box.  He sent me a video with all of them saying thank you.
Jonah was supposed to be in there for  two days from 6:45 AM to 10 PM and one more day from 6:45 AM to noon.  They all went home at 5 PM the first day.  It was Jonah, Kayla and Ellen that were in there all the time.  Jonah and Ellen were sick so that made it harder.  They had a livestream a few times a day so I watched when I got off work. I got to see Jonah sing on there! He was a good sport about it, but he was ready to be done.  He is happy that is over. That will definitely be a high school memory he can tell his kids about.
Wyatt showed me some of his BeReals.  This one was my favorite!
Keith and I went to the temple yesterday.  Life has been so busy that we haven't been able to go together for a while.  Keith is working 12 hour days for the overtime pay.  I'm so grateful that he is willing to do that. We need the money, but it really stinks that he has to work that much. I'm constantly juggling work, family and my parents. I'm grateful we got to enjoy the temple together.
