Back to the beach

Caitlyn got out of school early yesterday and Keith had the day off so we decided to go back to the beach with the whole family. Caitlyn didn't cry at school yesterday, so it was a nice little reward for her.  She said she is fine on short days, so we will see how Tuesday goes.
Jonah likes to be the one to tell other people things.  He loves to ask me what we are doing that day and run and tell Caitlyn.  Yesterday he felt like he was an expert because he had been to the beach before.  He was telling Keith where to turn and telling Caitlyn what to expect. I'm glad he feels so important.
I think Wyatt had a better time at the beach this time.  I think it was due to the fact that he had just woken up from a nap rather than needing to go down for one.
He had fun walking down to the water, but he didn't like the cold water touching his feet so he would just keep lifting one leg and then the other.
This was great, all the kids having fun playing in the sand and Keith and I relaxing in the chairs watching them.
Wyatt was even standing up and walking around on the beach. I love watching him walk, I love the arms out for balance.
The boys starting working on a sand castle.  It was so cute to watch them playing together.
Of course they wanted Dad to help them.
Jonah was pretty proud of his finished product.
I helped Caitlyn and this is what we came up with.
Wyatt loved picking up sand and throwing it on his chair.  He kept looking at us wondering if we were going to stop him.  Once he realized we weren't he had a great time and laughed every time he threw a new handful on there.
It was such a nice afternoon.  We all needed it after a stressful week.  Keith has two classes this semester and one of them is statistics that he has to have for his degree and it is offered at a horrible time, but he didn't have a choice so we don't see him much on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  We have all had an adjustment to make with our new schedules.  We need these relaxing family days to recharge for the next week.  It was great until Wyatt threw up in the car on the way home.  Apparently he is really prone to car sickness, we were only thirty minutes from home, but the streets curved a lot and I think he ate too much and his little stomach couldn't handle it.  Yuck!!!  I think we just barely got the smell out of the van from the last time he did it.
