Time is passing quickly and Hallee is already over two weeks old. She is still pretty easy going. She sleeps a lot and even seemed to be on a pretty consistent schedule until I told everyone she was on a schedule and now she has changed it up. She gets up every three hours to eat and usually goes back to sleep pretty quickly at night.
She was sleeping most of the day and would be awake from 7PM to 10 PM every night. She is usually a little fussy during that time, but nothing horrible. She just needs to be held during that time. Keith went back to work on Thursday. My mom came over and helped that night which was really nice. Last night I was on my own and it went pretty well. She cried while I put the other kids to bed, but we all survived. She also decided she wanted to wake up a lot during the day yesterday and needed to be held. She had her two week check up on Thursday and she was up to 9 lbs and 21 1/4 inches. They also found a heart murmur that we are hoping is nothing and will clear up quickly. It is amazing how many similarities Hallee and Caitlyn have. We are really hoping that Hallee won't have the problems with her hips that Caitlyn had because of being breech. We will have her checked out in a few weeks.
Wyatt likes to check up on her. He runs in the room whenever he hears her crying. The other night I was feeding Hallee and Wyatt lifted his shirt and said, "please feed baby." He asks to feed her a lot and we keep trying to tell him that he can't feed her. Funny kid! The kids all like to take turns holding her.
Hallee is such a loud sleeper. She grunts and groans and kicks and moves around all of the time.
I hate how hard it is to get a good picture of a newborn. She looks so adorable so I want to snap a picture, but the picture never captures how cute she really is. She is so adorable and sweet and just fits right in with our family. I forgot how peaceful newborns are. I want to just run and hide with her and just enjoy the peace while I hold her. I know I have felt this way with all of my babies. The older kids seem a million times louder than they used to.
Caitlyn and Jonah have been having been spending a lot of time with Baylee and Elisha. They always have fun together. Emilee snapped this picture of them playing in the rain a few weeks ago. We went over to play and it started pouring, but the kids didn't let that stop them. They had a blast playing and getting soaked in the rain. I don't know what we are going to do when they move in a few weeks. The kids will be so sad and bored! So will I!
