Last week I went to visit my grandma for her birthday. I have been feeling like I need to get out there and visit her, so I decided it was time to go. Family is very important to me and Keith is always so supportive. I flew out Wednesday night and came home Saturday. It was just the right amount of time. It was great to get away, but I missed my family!
Thursday was grandma's 86th birthday, doesn't she look great! We went to Olive Garden for lunch.
Holly and Wendy came with us. It was fun getting to know Holly's girls. They are both so cute. After lunch grandma and I went and saw, "The Son of God." The movie was pretty good, well what I saw of it. I slept through most of it. I haven't been sleeping well. I cannot fall asleep at night and I wake up for hours during the night, but I can fall asleep in a second during the afternoon.
That night we went out to dinner with everyone at a Chinese restaurant. It was really good food and it was nice to try new things. It was fun to visit with everyone. I was glad I got a chance to see everyone that night since I wasn't in town for very long.
Caitlyn and Jonah made cards for grandma. Jonah wanted to come so bad. I thought his card was so funny. I love that my kids know and love my grandma. Grandma got a good laugh at Jonah's card.
Grandma was working on a puzzle when I got there. I'm not very good at puzzles, but we worked on it together and we were so excited that we finished it shortly before I left. I love going to my grandma's house. It has so many fun memories from when I was a kid. I still feel like grandpa should be there though. I love that picture of him in the background. Someone painted it after he died and it is amazing. It captures him so well!
On Friday we went to lunch with Zach and went and saw Josh's house and then went over to Holly's for a while. Later Wendy took me and grandma to visit Jason. I loved visiting with all of the family. On Saturday grandma and I went to lunch and then Holly came and got me to take me to the airport. I was really anxious to get home. I missed my family!
Keith is seriously the best husband ever! He took great care of the kids, even when Wyatt threw up in the middle of the night and Hallee pooped in the bath (she does this all the time!) He had fun playing with the kids and had the house clean when I got home. I'm talking CLEAN! They made me this cute sign and had treats and music waiting so we could have a party. It was so great to be home and give them all a hug. Hallee wouldn't let me put her down!
