Last week I got to go on Jonah's field trip. My mom was nice enough to keep the little two so I could go. Jonah was so excited to go to wheeler farm. It was freezing and rainy all day. Luckily it stopped raining for our tour, but it was cold!
It was nice for me because I drove myself instead of riding the bus and there were a lot of parent volunteers so I really didn't have to do much.
The kids liked watching the blacksmith.
The wagon ride is always a favorite.
After the tour they let the kids play on the playground for a while. Jonah kept looking over to make sure I was watching him.
He had fun playing with Gaven. Gaven is a great kid, I wish he was in Jonah's class. Jonah has been getting in more trouble at school. There is one kid in particular that he seems to always be in trouble with. His French teacher told me that she was worried about him because he failed a math test and seems really distracted. She suggested that I bring him in to talk to her after school so she could speak English to him. We went on Friday and I was so happy with everything she said. I can tell she really cares about Jonah. She even told him to stay away from this kid, Dayton, who is a trouble maker. I was really hopeful that he had learned his lesson and then he came home with a white slip today for going to the bathroom without asking with Dayton. We are at a loss with him. I don't understand why he is misbehaving so much. I don't know how to get through to him and get him to be responsible for his actions. Jonah will always be stubborn, argumentative and a little mischievous, but this deviance is not like him. I don't know what else we can do, we hold him accountable and give him consequences, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. This parenting thing is tough!
When I went to pick the kids up from my mom's this is what I found. My kids adore my mom. Wyatt is always begging me to leave him at grandma's and Hallee yells, "yeah grandma's" every time we pull up to my mom's house. It is just so cute!
