Lady Gaga gets her dresses at the raw meet store

I was pretty shocked when I heard Hallee say, "I don't like Lady Gaga.  She wears raw meat dresses.  She gets her dresses at the raw meet store in Provo."  Someone at school told Jonah that about Lady Gaga and of course he had to pass it along to us and Hallee picked up on it.
We found this dress/night gown on clearance last week.  I'm a sucker for dress up for Hallee because she loves it so much.
I went over to Tiff's on Thursday and I had fun playing with the kids.  I was holding Damon when Paul got home and every time Paul talked to him Damon would lay his head on my shoulder.  It was so sweet, I loved it! He is so adorable, I can't stand it!
Jonah finished up his basketball season.  After their last practice on Thursday his coach took the team out for ice cream.  He gave all of the boys an award.  He gave Jonah the "hot shot" award.  He said Jonah has a great shot and he always knows when to take the shot and when to pass.   His coach stopped me to tell me what a great kid Jonah is.  He told me that Jonah is wonderful because he is coach-able, that made my day.  He said Jonah always listens to what he tells him and applies it in the game.  His coach told me that I have to keep Jonah in sports because he is athletic and coach-able, every coaches dream.  I'm sure proud of this boy!
Yesterday we "finally" got Jonah a basketball hoop.  It took us over four hours to put it together.  Our driveway is slanted so we weren't sure where to put the hoop.  We put it at the bottom of the driveway in the RV parking, it leans back, but it was the best spot we could find.
This week has been so great, it finally warmed up and the sun was out!  I knew I had the winter blues, but I didn't realize how bad until we were able to play outside this week.  The kids played outside all day yesterday while Keith and I worked on the basketball hoop.  Caitlyn and Jonah had a blast riding their bikes around the neighborhood.  Getting out and playing in our yard helped me feel more at home.   We love our yard!
We have already had a lot of fun with our new hoop!
I cut the boys hair last night.  They both wanted Gordon Hayward haircuts.   We sure have some handsome boys.

Provo City Center Temple

We went to the open house for the new Temple in Provo on Friday.  We drive by this temple a lot, so I was excited to go in and see it.
It did not disappoint.  It was gorgeous.
The boys both wanted to wear their suits.  I probably would have put them in something more casual, but I was impressed that they wanted to wear their suits to the temple.  I'm glad they hold a reverence and respect for the temple.  While we were walking through Wyatt was saying how nice it was and he turned to Jonah and said, "I will never play basketball in here, never!"
This is the sixth temple open house that Caitlyn and Jonah have been to.  That is amazing to think about, temples really are dotting the earth like it was prophesied that they would.
Caitlyn loved looking at everything and she got excited when I told her that in a little over a year, we would be able to come back to this temple together! She kept telling all of the volunteers that she liked their dress or tie, she is such a sweet girl.
Jonah is a boy of few words, but he was impressed with the woodwork in the temple.
We had to wait in long lines, but they moved quickly.  The kids were great sports about it.  Wyatt likes the movie we watched before we went in the temple.
Hallee remembered the last open house so she knew what to expect.  She did great and liked looking at the pretty stained-glass windows.
I'm so grateful for these opportunities to take our kids to the temple.  I know they feel the Spirit that is there and it helps them understand why the Temple is so important.  We are excited to go to this temple when it opens.

It's like your my servant

One day Wyatt asked me to get him a drink and while I was bringing it to him he said, "It's like your my servant mom."  Yes, being a mom is pretty close to being a servant!
I was really brave one day last week and let Wyatt and Hallee finger paint.  Wyatt loved it.
Hallee wasn't so sure at first.  She doesn't like her hands to be dirty so it took her a while to get into it.
Wyatt and Hallee have been good little friends lately.  They always find different games to play together.
Hallee cracks me up.  She uses so much expression and body language when she talks.
I loved peeking in Hallee's room and seeing this.  She is really into books right now.
Wyatt was so excited for his Valentine party yesterday.  He was dressed with his back pack on by 8:30 AM, he was disappointed when I told him that he still had almost four hours until pre-school.  He was so excited to show me all of his valentines and treats when he got home.  He is loving pre-school, I am so glad!
I was helping the kids make some Valentines and I was surprised that Hallee could write her name.  I told her how to spell it and she wrote it out on her own.  Hallee is excited that she has memorized the monthly scripture for primary in January and February.  The kids get a candy bar that looks like scriptures when they pass it off.  It is so cute to hear her say the scriptures on her own.
Today we were really excited to have Tessa over to play.  Wyatt, Hallee and Tessa played great together.  Hallee and Tessa were the princesses and Wyatt was the guard, they also played house and all sorts of other games.  It is so fun to hear them playing and having fun together.  I don't know why Wyatt looks miserable in this picture, but he had a lot of fun.
I love that the girls both spit and stick out their tongue when I tell them to smile for a picture.

My owie needs to go to church to get better

Hallee told me that she had an owie and the only way it would get better is if she went to church.  I'm so glad she loves church so much.
Last Friday we went to visit EJ and bring him a treat because he had his wisdom teeth out.  The kids loved seeing their cousins and playing with Pepper.  Keith was able to leave work early and come with us.  Caitlyn stayed and spent the night at Mel's.  We bought a groupon for a theater near by and took the other three kids to see Kung Fu Panda 3.  It was really good, usually they aren't very good by the third movie, but we really liked it.
On Saturday the boys got to go to a sports clinic at the Provo Rec Center.  They got to play a few different sports and meet some BYU players and a few professional athletes.  Jonah was excited that he won a signed baseball.  You were supposed to be six-years-old to attend, but they let Wyatt go.  Both of the boys loved it.  It was a free clinic, so that made it even better!
On Saturday night we took mom out to dinner for her birthday.  It was fun to have dad there
too.
My uncle Ron was in town so he met us for dinner.  It was so fun to visit and laugh.  I love my family.
We had free kids meals for Red Robin so we went there last night for dinner.  The kids were so excited.  We don't go to restaurants very often, so they thought it was really fun.  Jonah was in heaven because he picked a salad for his side and he could get as many salads as he wanted, that boy loves his salad! It was great to get out and break up the routine!

Get Air

There is a trampoline park, Get Air, near our house and they have a pre-school jump time every Wednesday and Friday morning.   We were all in desperate need of a day out so I took Hallee and Wyatt on Friday.
Wyatt and Hallee were so excited.  They ran back and forth looking at everything screaming out in excitement.
Wyatt loved jumping into the foam pit.
Hallee was hesitant at first, but she had fun jumping into the pit too.  I love Hallee's cute dimple!
I jumped in and it was a lot of fun, but it was sure hard to get out of there!
It was so nice that there were no older kids there.  Hallee won't jump with older kids, so she loved it.
Wyatt and I had fun playing basketball together.
We loved playing dodge ball too.   Hallee even joined in after a while.  She would tell me that I had to hold still while she threw the ball at me.
Wyatt had a huge smile on his face the whole time.
We were all so excited to be out of the house.  We all keep taking turns getting sick.  It is getting really old!
It was so nice to be out of the house and doing something active.
