Another year has passed and this stud is 10 years old. I remember the day of his birth well. I remember being nervous that I wouldn't be able to love anyone as much as I loved Caitlyn and then I met Jonah. I learned that a mother has plenty of love to give all of her children. Jonah was a dream baby. He was so mellow. He slept well and ate well and besides a ton of spit up I had no complaints.
Jonah became more challenging as a toddler, but not necessarily in a bad way. He was always busy and wanted to be active all the time. He wanted to try everything and didn't want to accept any limits. He has always been capable beyond his years.
Jonah has always been very independent. With very little help he potty trained himself, taught himself to read and to ride a bike. He has always enjoyed keeping up with older boys, especially his cousins.
Jonah is a perfectionist and very competitive. He likes to be the best at everything he does. Luckily for him most things come pretty natural for him. I have been excited to see him push himself out of his comfort zone over this last year. He has had to work really hard in football and in school to do his best.
Jonah is so much fun to be around. He loves to laugh and have fun.
Jonah is so strong. He takes pride in his big muscles! He loves playing sports. He would play sports all day if he could. I have loved seeing him grow as an athlete and see him set aside his competitive side to compliment and encourage other people.
Jonah works hard in school. I never have to ask him to get his school work done, he is always on top of it. His teachers always tell me how respectful he is, which makes me so happy. He is also a great friend. He is very kind to those around him. He loves to play with little kids and they always want to play with Jonah.
Jonah is a great brother. He likes to tease, but he would do anything for his siblings.
Jonah looks up to Keith and loves spending time with him. I love how protective Jonah is of me. He hates when I am upset or sad and will always try to help out and cheer me up. Every morning as he is riding away on his scooter he yells, "Love you mom."
We are so blessed to have Jonah in our family. He is wonderful and I look forward to seeing the amazing things he will accomplish in his life. Love you Jonah!
