It's like a grandma date!

We found a cool park in Pleasant Grove last week, we met Katie there one day.  Hallee and Wyatt had a great time playing while I visited with Katie.  It was a much needed day out for all of us.
Jackson loves to lay on me, it is actually pretty sweet.
About seven weeks ago Keith and I quit drinking soda.  It has not been easy.  I don't really crave it too much anymore, but I sure did those first few weeks.  I also started a couch to 5K training around the same time.  I am so proud of myself for sticking with it.  It feels so good to start out the day feeling accomplished and proud of myself.  I think there are a few reasons this program works for me.  I only run three times a week.  This helps motivate me to get up every morning because I know if I run today I don't have to run tomorrow.  I think the other reason it works for me is my phone tells me when to walk and when to run.  I am a rule follower so even though I'm tired I won't stop running until my phone says I can.  I started out running 60 second intervals and I thought I was going to die.  On Friday I ran for 20 minutes straight and I felt great.  I have a couple weeks left in the program and from here on out it is straight running except for a warm up and cool down.  I'm hoping I can improve my time in the next couple of weeks because I'm not very fast.  I went with a girl in my ward the first time and then our schedules haven't worked so I have gone alone since then, which I honestly prefer.  It is starting to get really dark in the mornings so a couple of weeks ago Keith started going with me.  We take Jackson and head over to the park where they have a big sidewalk circle.  It makes me feel safe to have Keith there and it is fun to do it together.  I should be ready for my first 5K in a couple of weeks!
Matt and Cody came into town Friday night.  Mel, Tiff and I went over to mom's to visit with him Friday night and then we met up for breakfast Saturday morning.  It is always a party when Matt is in town.
Matt wanted to take Cody to the Conference Center for his first Priesthood session and dad and Dante were able to go too.  Keith and Jonah didn't have tickets, but they decided to head downtown with them to see if they could get tickets.  Jonah wanted to spend time with Cody so he wanted to go to the priesthood session, we aren't going to say no to that!
They weren't able to get in the conference center with the others, but they had fun watching it in the Tabernacle. After the session they all went to Crown Burger for dinner.  I think they all had a great time.  Jonah loved having a boys night.
All of my kids were excited to see Cody.  I sent Lori this picture and we both said the same thing, "I wish Cody and Caitlyn could get married."
Me and the kids stayed at mom's while the boys were gone.  I took Caitlyn over to Katelyn Serr's house and then Hallee, Alexys and I went to the store.  Wyatt was so excited to have grandma all to himself.  He said, "It's like a grandma date."  They had a great time playing games together.
When we came home Hallee wanted to play games too.  The kids loved having that time with grandma.
We stayed and visited for a little while after the men got home.  I love how cute Matt is with Wyatt.
All the kids are hoping we can go to Arizona in December and so am I.  It was great to see Matt and Cody.
On Sunday Pat and Garth came over for dinner.  We were excited to see them, we haven't been able to see them as much as we would like.  The kids had a great time showing off for them.  Pat has pretty advanced dementia, but she seemed to recognize us and be happy to be with us.  It was great to spend the evening with them.
