Four Wheeling

We were excited to try out a four wheeler instead of a snowmobile this time.  We all took turns riding this on Saturday and we had a blast.

Wyatt had fun sitting on it while he was waiting for Keith.

Hallee didn't want to go near the snowmobile so I was excited when she wanted to sit on the four wheeler.  I was really surprised when she said she wanted to ride it with me.

Keith and Caitlyn went out first. Keith and I both let Caitlyn drive and we were both very impressed with how well she did.

Wyatt was excited to go next.

We took the four wheeler across the highway and there were lots of fun trails and plenty of open road.

I was able to take each one of the kids out and I loved it.  I was surprised by how fast Wyatt let me go.  We went over some big rocks and hills and he didn't complain. 

Jonah and I had a lot of fun together.  He was thrilled when I let him drive.  We had fun looking for bumpy trails. I got more daring as the day went on.  I loved every minute of it.

I took Hallee for a ride around the parking lot to make sure she really wanted to go and she said she did.  You have to go over some really big bumps and hills to get to the highway so I was a little nervous about whether Hallee would like it or not.  

Hallee did get a little nervous and just then Ben and Katie were coming back with their side by side car, so I decided to take that out with Hallee and Keith and Caitlyn took the four wheeler.

Hallee loved the side by side.  It had a seat belt and helped her feel safe.  She let me drive really fast and she laughed at all the bumps.  She kept pretending that someone was getting us so we had to drive faster.

We followed Keith and Caitlyn for a while.  I loved seeing Caitlyn stick her hands in the air in pure enjoyment!  

Hallee wanted a turn with dad and I wanted a turn with Caitlyn so we switched.  Keith and Hallee headed back for lunch and Caitlyn and I had a blast riding around for a while.

We rode down by the water and found some fun trails.  Caitlyn loved driving on the open road.  We finally went back because it was late and Caitlyn was ready for lunch.

We were all sad when we had to turn them in at 4 PM.  We barbecued hamburgers and hot dogs for dinner on Saturday night.  Later we went to Ben and Katie's cabin to play games.  We got Wyatt and Hallee to bed early before we went over there. It was so fun and nice to have some adult time.  On Sunday the kids played in the morning and we took our time packing up and heading out.  It was another great weekend. It doesn't get much better than family, friends and fun!
