Mel and her kids were rafting the Provo River yesterday and they had three extra spots so Caitlyn, Jonah and I decided to join them.
I got a couple of my beehives to come watch Hallee and Wyatt so all three of us could go.
EJ was our captain. He was hilarious! He had us laughing the whole time!
It took us a little while to get the hang of it. We ran into this big bush and tree near the beginning. This big branch hit most of us. It hit my head and Jonah's head pretty hard. Luckily we got the hang of it after that and we didn't hit any other trees. EJ did a great job of telling us when to paddle. He cracked me up, I could listen to him all day.
Caitlyn got out of the boat and she lost one of her flip flops. We tried to catch it, but it floated away. As a raft passed us I told them to grab a flip flop if they saw it. They ended up getting it and giving it back to us later.
Elijah was so great. He helped me down some steep hills to get into the boat. He is such a helpful, kind boy!
It took us about an hour and a half in the river. There were a few rapids that splashed into the boat. The water felt so good because it was so hot!
It was beautiful! I'm so glad we went, it was so much fun.
