Siblings gift

A few years ago we started giving sibling gifts on a different night and really focusing on giving that night.  The kids draw names and use their own money or earn some if they don't have enough to buy their sibling a special gift.
We started the evening off by reading some stories that focused on giving and then we talked about Jesus Christ giving us the ultimate gift and what we could give to Him.  The kids did a good job listening and discussing even though they were excited to move onto presents.
After that they got to give out their presents. Hallee had Wyatt.  She was so excited to give Wyatt the art set she bought for him.
Hallee knew he would love the little brief case that the set came in.  It was a hit, Wyatt loved it.
Wyatt wrote Jonah a sweet note telling him that he loves him.
Wyatt wanted to get Jonah a pillow back rest.  He had to work really hard because it cost a lot.  Wyatt cleaned the whole shed and winterized the back yard with Keith to earn the money.  He worked for hours and was so excited to give Jonah his present.
Jonah loved it!
Wyatt got the idea from Jonah because Jonah bought Caitlyn the same thing.  Jonah came up with the idea for Caitlyn because she loves to read in bed, but she tells us that it hurts her back, so he thought this would help her.  As you can see, she loved it.  I love that all of their faces are so excited!
They were both very happy with their pillows!
Caitlyn picked out a few presents that she knew Hallee would love.  She was very excited about her hand sanitizer and chap stick.
Hallee was really excited about her emoji pillow.
Caitlyn was very generous with Hallee and couldn't wait to give her the presents she bought.
We had a family gift that we let the kids open that night.
The kids were all so excited about the new bingo game.  It comes with a bingo wheel that they were all really excited about.
After that we played Bingo for a while.  When someone got Bingo we all had to say something we loved about them.  Wyatt got Bingo a few times and loved having us say nice things about him over and over.
After that we watched the Santa Clause 2 while we worked on a puzzle.
It was a great night.  Life gets so busy and it is hard to fit in quality time as a family.  We have to be proactive to make time for each other. I love when we have evenings at home together.

You got some great pictures capturing the excitement so well! What a great tradition to have and I loved all that you did and the way you started it out about Christ and his gift to us! Great job!
