For Christmas we gave the kids a trip to Tahiti Village in Las Vegas. They didn't know that I had arranged with Matt and Lori to meet us there. It was right in the middle of us, so it worked out perfect.
We left Friday morning. Caitlyn was not happy about missing school and surprisingly Jonah wasn't either. Neither one of them were very excited about going. Wyatt and Hallee were sure exited though. When we got there they started to get more excited, especially when they saw how nice the hotel was.
We got there at the exact same time as Matt and Lori, I was texting Lori and we decided that we would check in and then she would bring their family up to our room and we would surprise them there. I kept the kids in the bedroom and kept taking pictures of them while we were waiting so they wouldn't think it was weird that I had my camera out.
We heard someone in our room so we opened the door. I love Cody and Elena's face. I wish we would have been waiting in the living room instead of the bedroom because I would have been able to get better pictures, I'm not sure what I was thinking on that one.
I didn't get good pictures of my kids because I was too close. I thought they would scream and jump up and down, but they all just stared on in shock and confusion for a while.
Once it sunk in they got really excited.
They had different treats and activities going on in the hotel a few times a day. We were there just in time for the ice cream sundae bar on Friday.
The grounds were beautiful and the whole place smelled like coconut. We loved all of the palm trees.
They had a lot of fun crafts. We made it to the sun catchers, fun with fabric and lei making.
The kids loved the game room.
Elena and Caitlyn loved playing pool.
Keith is a great pool player so he gave the girls some pointers. He killed me two games in a row!
The older boys loved the foosball table. They were always so good about letting Wyatt and Hallee play.
Wyatt loved all of the games!
Uncle Matt would always play with Wyatt whenever he asked him too.
I loved watching the boys get so excited about every goal!
Wyatt was obsessed with the gym. He begged to go there all of the time. He wanted to try all of the different machines. I took him down with me Sunday morning so he could do the treadmill with me.
We love having older kids! The kids wanted to stay at the hotel and we wanted to go out so it worked out great! The first night we went to Strip Burger. It was so good and so fun to be able to visit with Matt and Lori.
We took a quick picture on the strip. We never ended up walking up and down the strip, but it was fun to see it. We haven't been there for a long time and everything looked so different!
We booked this trip back in September. I was so excited that we were finally there!
