I'm on top of the world, Hey!

When Hallee realized she could look down on the whole valley while we were hiking she said, "I know what song I should sing, I'm on top of the world, hey!" She makes me laugh.
I told the kids that I wanted to hike the Y at least once this summer.  On Tuesday afternoon the kids were fighting and I decided we needed to get out of the house so we were going to go to Rock Canyon and hike around, but the kids all voted to do the Y instead.  It was cool and overcast so it was a great day for it.  Everyone was on board except for Hallee, she was nervous.
I think Hallee thought the hike would be right on the edge of a cliff.  She quickly realized that it wasn't scary.  We brought Jackson when we thought we were headed to Rock Canyon, I would not have brought him on this hike.  He was so thirsty and tired by the end of it.
We took a lot of rests.
The views along the hike are amazing.
The kids love the telescopes.
I love seeing Jonah help Hallee!
Caitlyn did great, she is not a fan of hiking, but she didn't complain at all.
Jonah loves to climb on this rock.
I was surprised that Hallee wanted to climb on the rock.
We were all very proud of ourselves when we made it to the top. I gave them a quick pep talk about how important it is to do hard things and not give up, it may be hard at the time, but you will never regret working hard and not giving up!

Nice job Loosli's! I love the picture of the boys sitting on the fence looking over the valley.
