Jonah had to make some macaroni and cheese for his foods class. He came in my room and said, "mom, how much is an elbow?" I had no idea what he was talking about. He went and got his recipe and said, "see, it says a half of cup and an elbow macaroni." It actually said, "One half cup of elbow macaroni." Jonah always keeps me laughing.
On Monday Mel drove up and we went and walked in Provo Canyon. It was gorgeous!
After that we got lunch and went to Tiff's and sat in her hot tub. It was a great day!
Mel was nice enough to drive down Monday so she could take Caitlyn back with her because they were going to see Phantom that night.
Caitlyn loved the show and she loved the company!
It makes me so happy that Caitlyn loves being with family so much.
We had such a busy soccer weekend last week. Jonah had a game Friday night, Saturday afternoon and Monday evening! I really didn't mind because I love watching him play. He played great. On Friday it was almost 8:00 PM when we were driving home from the game and we were starving. We stopped at sonic because I had some coupons. You can only use one coupon per order so we ordered one and then drove across the parking lot and put in another order. Jonah was worried that the same girl would bring out our food so he got in the drivers seat so she wouldn't recognize us. We were both laughing so hard, especially when she came out and totally recognized us. I have to document when I make my kids laugh because it is getting harder and harder as they get older!
Jonah's team had a rough season. Most of the boys they played were 15-year-olds and they were huge! They improved a lot this season and really worked well as a team. They were excited to get a few wins at the end of the season. I love his coaches. It was so great that they were positive with the boys. They worked them hard, but they also built up their confidence. I'm so grateful for good coaches.
Wyatt's team went to a Women's BYU soccer game. Here is the team with Cosmo.
Keith went with the team to the game. He enjoyed sitting with Kyle during the game.
It was freezing that night. I sent them with jackets and blankets.
These boys are the cutest!
Wyatt had his last soccer game on Tuesday. They ended the season with some wins! Wyatt played great. He is ready for a break and decided he doesn't want to play any winter sports. It will be nice to slow down after such a crazy Fall sports season.
I went to hear Richard Ostler speak at Hunter High School a couple of weeks ago. Emilee went with me and we drove by our old houses on the way home. Someone gave Tiff this tree when Jen died and since they couldn't plant them in Eagle Mountain they gave it to us. Keith did a great job planting it and we took really good care of it and it has grown so tall. It makes me sad that we had to leave the tree. I wish we could bring it to our new house.
Caitlyn loves Al Carraway. Caitlyn borrowed my kindle and read her book and started following her on Instagram. Al just released a new book and Caitlyn wanted to get it. I bought it on my kindle, but we found out that Al was going to be in Orem on Saturday so we went down there.
I bought Caitlyn the book so she could get it signed. I'm thrilled that Caitlyn loves her and I was happy to buy her the book. It was so good! She is amazing and so wise. She has a great perspective and insights about the gospel.
She was so nice. Caitlyn loved meeting her and talking to her. We got there early, so we waited in line for a while before she got there, but by the time we left the line was wrapped all the way around the outside of the store.

Those pics up the canyon are gorgeous! I was sad to leave our Jen tree when we moved too. That was hard.
Such beautiful pictures of the canyon and great pictures of the soccer teams. I'm so glad that both your boys had good coaches (especially Kyle) and enjoyed their seasons. Great pictures with Al Carraway too! You do so many good things with your children!
