Jonah, well he's Jonah!

Tessa turned 7!  I found the cutest stuffed animal dog with a tutu and a bow and I knew she would love it.  Hallee loved it too and wished it was her birthday!  Luckily, she was excited about giving it to Tessa too because she knew she would love it.
These girls are the cutest!
Tiff invited us to see Frozen II to celebrate Tessa's birthday.  Hallee was so excited, she talked about it every day and was counting down the days.   The kids liked the movie, I was so tired and slept through it.
Jen Stemmons sent me these pictures.  Grace was tired of girl drama so she hung out with the boys.  They found these clothes in a Christmas box and put them on and went Christmas caroling to the Autry's.  Sandy invited them in and gave them hot chocolate.  This neighborhood is perfect for Jonah, he seems to be welcome everywhere and they didn't give a second thought to inviting them in for hot chocolate at 10 PM.
Jen said, "Ky is an Elf on the shelf, Christian is Santa, Grace is an elf and Jonah, well he's Jonah!" Jonah has such a fun personality.
Saturday Jonah had an awesome game.  He played so well.  Maddox's mom caught one of his three-pointers and a great drive on video, I'm so glad to have those  He hit a few three-pointers, had some blocks, great passes, a free throw and a few great drives.  I love basketball season!  I also love playing basketball every Monday morning with Jonah.  It is great one-on-one time for us.
Me and the girls rushed from the game to get to see Amarie in Sleeping beauty.  She was beautiful and graceful as always.  She is such a beautiful dancer.
After that we went to Café Rio for lunch and then they came shopping with me.  It was a fun girls outing.
Sunday was one of those really nice days where the kids got along well.  I love those days!  The elementary school did yoga during lunch one day so now Wyatt loves yoga.  They were trying all sorts of different posing and laughing hysterically!
Last night was Elijah's first basketball game of the season.  I can't believe this is his senior year!  Jonah and I drove up to watch the game.  It worked out great since Jonah didn't have school this morning.  Elijah played great.  I hope I can make it to lots of his games this year.

Life Lately

We enjoyed the warm weather and went back to the park with Tiff and the kids.
Wyatt and Hallee would spend every day with Rockwell and Tessa if they could.
I have been getting migraines a lot lately.  Usually they are manageable with medication, but one day nothing was helping and I stayed in my dark room as much as possible.  Hallee was worried about me and wanted to give me a hug.  She is so sweet. I was impressed that Keith noticed and took a picture.
Jonah got braces on two weeks ago.  He thought that was a great excuse to get a shake for lunch.  Poor guy, he was pretty sore and had a hard time eating for about a week.
Caitlyn asks if we can go to Café Rio almost every night.  One night while I was out to dinner for Audrey's birthday she talked Keith into it.  Dad is so much more fun than mom.
Jonah started his basketball season a few weeks ago.  He was disappointed that he didn't make the A team again, but happy to be with most of the boys from last year and back with Jason, he really is a great coach.
Jonah's team started their pre-season games on Saturday.  They had back to back games and won them both!  I was so impressed with how well the team played together.  Jonah played great! He had some amazing assists, great shots and drives to the basket and a block that he was really happy about.  Keith and I both said he has taken his game up a level since last season.  He has been working hard and practicing a lot.
Wyatt and Hallee were dying to go out to eat after we got home from the basketball games.  I had another headache, so Keith took the two of them to Café Rio.
Tiff let me borrow a book and in the book the author talks about a charity called World Vision. You can sponsor a child and your money goes to help that child and the community that they live in so that the child will have more opportunities.  Tiff and Paul decided to sponsor a child and so did we.  We couldn't choose one so we opted to let someone chose us.  On Sunday we found out who picked us.  Meet Abdullah Robiul, here he is with his mom.  He is almost two and lives in Bangladesh.  The kids were so excited to see his picture and find out more about him.  I'm excited for this opportunity.  We are so blessed and it is nice to feel like we are doing something to make a difference in some one's life.
We decided to set up our Christmas stuff on Sunday.  The kids were excited to pull everything out.  Wyatt made sure all of the ornaments had hooks while Hallee and Jonah decorated the tree.
Caitlyn worked on the other decorations. She was happy to climb on the wall to put things up there.
The other kids thought that looked fun so they wanted to join her.
I decided to make a popcorn Christmas tree like my mom used to when I was young.  I made it that night, so it was warm and didn't have time to set, but it tasted really good!
I loved seeing Wyatt and Hallee playing together under the tree while I made the popcorn.
Hallee was excited to read a Christmas story under the tree that night.
Yesterday was Garth's birthday.  I was hosting book club and Caitlyn and Jonah had mutual so we couldn't go, but Keith, Hallee and Wyatt went to visit him and take him some dinner for his birthday.  They had a good visit.

Provo River Trail

The weather has been so great this past week.  I have loved getting outside and enjoying the great weather.
Hallee has been dying to take everyone to the parkway to show them the new swing.  We all needed to get out of the house yesterday so it was a great day to do it.
We waited until Keith got home from his meetings so he could join us.
The kids were nice enough to let us take some pictures with them.
I love how they turned out.  We are a good looking group!
The kids all took turns on the swing.
It was fun to watch them all have fun on the swing.
Keith and I took turns pushing them.
Keith and I tried to get on the swing and it was a lot harder than it looks. We decided we would just let the kids enjoy it!
The kids all brought things to ride on.  Wyatt and Jonah had fun giving each other rides.
Hallee was on the look out for a tree that she could climb.
They all had fun climbing the tree, it was a little tricky for them to get back down.
The weather was just perfect.  The temperature was just right and there was no wind.
Wyatt worked on figuring out Jonah's penny board.  He worked hard yesterday and has made a lot of progress.  I'm so glad we have the river trail so close to our house.  It's the perfect place to enjoy nature.

Best Day Ever

Wyatt loved having Pepper here.  He told me that it was the best day ever because we had two dogs.
He loved that Pepper would lay with him.
It was cold for a couple of weeks, but this week the weather has been warm and beautiful!
Hallee and Wyatt got out of school early three days this week because of parent teacher conference. Yesterday Wyatt went to Kyle's to play after school so Hallee and I went to the parkway to enjoy the great weather.
They have closed off  part of the Parkway because they are doing some construction in the fields out there, so we walked a different way than we usually do.
We found a great spot where we could get right down by the water.
We found a new swing that Hallee had a great time on.
Today after school I took Wyatt and Hallee to a park.  It was the first time we have been here since they redid the park.  The kids loved it.
Wyatt made his own obstacle course with the stuff they had there.  I would time him to see how quickly he could get to the end.
We never hiked the Y this year, so this morning on a crazy whim I decided that I should go hike it.
I always forget what a tough hike it is, it is so steep.  The first stretch seems like it goes on forever and I always want to quit at that point.  I stopped and rested a lot and took my time.  It felt so good to see this sign and know that I did it!
Selfie at the top!  I'm really trying to shift my focus from how my body looks to how my body feels and what I'm able to do.  I love that my body can handle a hike like this!  I'm so grateful for my healthy body.
The view at the top is gorgeous. You can see three temples up there, pretty cool.
I picked up a drink on the way home and then came home and took a bath with the jets on. I used a bath bomb that I bought the other day and it was the perfect way to celebrate my hard work.
