4th of July

I love the 4th of July.  I love our country and I love celebrating our independence and all of the freedoms that we enjoy because brave men and women were and still are willing to give their lives for freedom.  I have read a couple of books about history lately and it is so clear that our Heavenly Parents wanted the United States of America to be a free country.  There were so many interventions, especially with weather, during the Revolutionary war.  I'm learning about the Civil war now and it was the same thing.  Tim Ballard explained that it is the same war that was being fought in heaven, the war on agency.  We are still in that war, it has just changed venues.  Slavery in all of it's forms is an evil practice that stems from Satan.  He still wants our agency.  We have to protect our freedoms and free the modern day slaves to win this war.  Our country is a hot mess right now.  People are so confused on what our flag represents and how brave and selfless our founding fathers were.  Satan is so tricky, he adds a little truth and then shovels in the lies.  It is so hard to see that happen.  I can get really overwhelmed if I let myself, but I try to get back to Faith over Fear as often as I can.  I take comfort in the fact that we know how this will end, we know that we will win the war and that Jesus Christ himself will come and reign here on the earth.  He has already paid the price for our agency and freedom and he will rescue us again when he returns to the earth.  As the world gets more wicked and scary, my hope for him to come soon increases.
We went to my parent's for the 4th of July.  Wyatt was the lucky one that got to lick the homemade ice cream off the mixer.
We had a delicious barbecue dinner.
It was so nice to have a lot of time to visit while the kids played.  It is so great to be around like minded people.  If I am on social media or listen to the news too much I can start to think no one has common sense anymore.  I really believe the people with common sense are the silent majority.
Wyatt loved hanging out with EJ and Elijah again.  EJ let him wear his hat and his shoes!
Wyatt and Hallee were excited to celebrate their birthdays.
We celebrated all of the July birthdays.
Hallee brought her bear and her birthday crown! Tiff's family was with Paul's family, so Hallee brought some toys to play with since Tessa wouldn't be there.
Opening presents is so fun!
She loved all of her presents.  She loves makeup!
She loved her new giant care bear!
Wyatt was excited that he got the video game that he wanted.
He was surprised and very excited about his wubble ball.
Wyatt had a great time with his Wubble ball.  Unfortunately, it popped the next day.
Grandma and grandpa bought fireworks so we went out front to watch them when it got dark.
Hallee made sure her bear had a chair.

The boys took turn lighting them.
Wyatt was thrilled that he got to light a lot of them.

Great post Al. I’m bummed I missed the birthday celebrations. Looks like Hallee and Wyatt got some great presents.

I'm glad you got a picture of Wyatt licking the ice cream dasher! He seemed to really enjoy that. I love seeing the young ones get so excited about their gifts so thanks so much for helping me by picking out what they wanted and getting it for us. The 4th is a fun holiday and I'm like you and love this country and have a hard time with all that's going on right now. It is wonderful that our family is all in agreement about politics, isn't it? Great blog!
