My family went all out for Mother's day yesterday. They made me French Toast with strawberries and whipped cream for breakfast and they took a picture with out complaining! Don't you love Wyatt's home church outfit?
I told them all to give me a kiss, Jonah did not like that idea.
So he got a big old kiss from me! Take that Jonah!
I love this picture, we do have fun together.
Caitlyn wanted to take some pictures with me.
She had all sorts of ideas for poses! Caitlyn painted me a beach on a canvas for my gift. It was so thoughtful and I love it. Caitlyn posted this on Instagram, "Happy Mother's Day to the best momma in the world! Thank you for being my rock, my biggest cheerleader, and sweetest person ever! Words can't describe how incredible and selfless my mom is! I love you mom and could not be more thankful for you!"
The boys couldn't wait to be finished with pictures, but the girls wanted more.
Hallee gave me a picture that her teacher took of her. She was holding a card that said, "Dear Mom, You're the best mom I could ever ask for. Your nice, funny, caring and most of all an amazing mom! I love you so much and I hope you have a wonderful Mothers Day! XOXO Hallee," She also gave me a neck pillow, Chapstick and $5.
Wyatt printed off a picture of a beach where someone had written "Jesus" in the sand. He framed it and gave me a card to go with it. His card said, "thank you mom, for all you do (which is pretty much everything). The reason I got you this present is because 1. You like beaches and 2. you like Jesus, but the best reason of all is because you represent Jesus because you are the most kindest person in the world. You are also smart, amazing, polite, cool and most of all you love people, everybody and you love so much. But I love you too. Happy Mothers Day." Isn't that so thoughtful? He is such a sweet, sensitive boy!
Jonah got me this rug. I was cutting his hair the other night when Keith and I got in a little spat about the big rug in our front room. I like it because it covers the stains in our carpet, Keith doesn't like it because it doesn't stay flat, so it can be annoying to have to constantly pull it out. Jonah agreed with Keith and I was kind of grumpy about it. We took the rug out of the front room and I laughed when I saw that Jonah had got me one for Mothers Day. He said this one was smaller and would work better! Honestly, it made me feel good that even though I didn't handle that situation as well as I wish I had that Jonah turned it into a positive thing by being so thoughtful and trying to find something Keith and I would both like. Plus, that pose is amazing.
Keith went all out and got me flowers, pajamas and chocolate dipped strawberries. He took care of everything yesterday and made sure that I could just relax. Being a mom is the hardest thing I have ever loved. It's definitely a job that deserves to be celebrated!

I'm so grateful that your family treated you so well on Mother's Day! I loved all the pictures and Wyatt's home church outfit. His gift was especially meaningful and I can tell he put great thought into it as did Caitlyn! You do have special children! Your ending thought motherhood is the hardest thing I've ever loved sure hit home to me!
It truly makes me so happy that you had such a great Mother's Day. It sounds like Keith and the kids really made you feel loved and special.
