Paul booked a penguin encounter and we were excited that they had five extra spots. I've been wanting to do this for Wyatt for a while. Jonah said he was fine not going and Keith was able to get away from work for a couple of hours so the five of us went.
We learned about penguins first and then put coats on and went into the room where the penguins could come in. They gave everyone a bowl of fish to feed the penguins.
The opened the door and the penguins filed in, they knew we had food.
The penguins were not shy about coming right up to us to get the fish.
Rockwell and Wyatt were in heaven, they both love penguins.
Wyatt told me this was the best day of his life. He was hoping he could pet the penguins, but they don't like to be touched. He loved feeding them and having the penguins crowd around them.
Damon, Tessa and Hallee got a little nervous with how aggressive the penguins were.
One of the penguins started eating Caitlyn's jacket.
It took the penguins a while to accept that we were out of food.
After the penguins realized we were out of food they would come and go.
There was one penguin, Uno, who stayed in the room the whole time. He was raised by humans in the room we were in so he was comfortable in there.
They had some foam puzzle pieces in there that the penguins played with.
We all loved watching them play.
We loved being so close to the penguins.
We all loved this so much. I'm so glad we got this opportunity!
