We get a call from the school if Caitlyn or Jonah are tardy to class and we got them quite a few times for Jonah. I told him he can't be tardy anymore and we expect him to be in class on time. The next day I got a text from Jonah that said, "Sorry, I was late to math. A dog literally stole Ian's wallet and we chased it down." I told him that was a pretty good excuse. Apparently they were walking back from seminary and Ian dropped his wallet and a dog came out of nowhere and grabbed the wallet and ran off. They chased the dog all the way to the elementary school to get it back. I figured another tardy was worth a great story like that!
The bishop had a fireside for the priests and the older young women a couple of weeks ago. They were asking the bishop if they needed to wear church clothes and he said they didn't, but the priests thought it would be funny to wear random dress clothes. Jonah went with a suit coat over his sweats and t-shirt. I love Jonah's personality and that he is always up for a laugh. He is so lucky to have so many good friends in our ward. There are 26 priests in our ward and that makes church and activities so fun for Jonah.
I wish there was more girls in our ward. There aren't very many young women and that makes it hard for Caitlyn. I'm proud of her for going even when she doesn't want to. They just put her in as the class president and that has helped her push herself to get more involved. She is close to Alisha, but she is graduating this year so that will be hard for Caitlyn. They just put Camille Gardner in as the Young Women President and that has been a really good fit for Caitlyn. Caitlyn had fun ice skating with all the young women.
Caitlyn has made some good friends at work. Her and Bella like to hang out after work.
They love to go to the wash.
We have had a cold/flu move through the family over the last couple of weeks. Wyatt got sick first and missed a few days of school. Jackson kept him company. We had fun watching movies together while he was home from school. Next Jonah got it and he missed a day of school too. Caitlyn got it next and now Hallee is sick.
I enjoyed a walk by the lake on a warmer day.
The weather went from warm and beautiful to freezing and snowy. It's hard to go back to the cold after enjoying warm spring weather.
We went and saw Nate Bargatze with Tiff, Paul, Katie, Ben, Audrey and Jason. He was so funny, I laughed so hard.
Caitlyn has been busy lately and Hallee has been dying to spend time with her. Last Sunday Caitlyn told her they could spend the day together. They painted nails.
Did some yoga.
Then they pretended they were homeless, ha! Hallee loves to play pretend and she comes up with the funniest scenarios. Caitlyn is a great big sister. I love to see my girls having fun together.
Wyatt wanted Hallee to stand on him and then he wanted us to pull out the chair from under him. I didn't like that idea and either did Hallee.
Halle felt much better about this pose.
The kids have all been hanging out in the front room together before dinner. Caitlyn is usually doing homework and the other three play brawl stars together. I love to see them hanging out and laughing together.
Every night Jackson snuggles up to Keith and wants to lay on him, it's pretty cute.
Hallee started her orthodontic work. She doesn't love having a jaw expander and braces, but she has been a great sport about it, with minimal complaining.
Last night Paul and Tiff had us over for dinner and games. The dinner was so good! Jason and Audrey brought their Virtual Reality. We played a game where you walked out on a plank that was really high. It was funny because when you were watching someone else play, it seemed so easy, but it was a different story when you were the one doing it. It felt so real and it was scary. It was a fun night.
