Road Trip-Finally!

Our family hasn't taken a road trip this year and it has been rough after all our travel last year.  I was more than ready for a vacation.  I was so sad when we couldn't go to Oregon, so I was grateful that we could go to Arizona after Christmas.
I was worried about leaving Jackson home because our back yard is so muddy with all of the rain and snow. I also feel bad for him when he only gets a visit once a day.  Matt and Lori said we could bring him with us, so we decided to do that.  I was a little nervous about how he would do in the car, but he did great.  He was a little anxious at first and wanted to sit up by me and look out the window.  After a while he went back and slept on Caitlyn.
When we got there we took both dogs in the backyard so they could get used to each other.  Wyatt picked up Jackson and ran around and Mazie chased them.  It was funny to watch.
Matt and Lori bought matching pajamas for the dogs last year.  We were excited to put them both in them. Caitlyn was so excited about taking Jackson with us.
Maize didn't love having Jackson in her house, but she was a good sport about it.  They both agreed that they like to take naps with Caitlyn.
There were two really rainy days while we were there and the rest were cloudy.  We spent one of those rainy days at Top Golf.
Wyatt loved it!
Jonah is the only one that had been there before in our family so we were excited to check it out.
I love seeing the cousins together!
Hallee got frustrated and had to sit down and chill out before she was ready to give it another try.  Once she was calm, she did great.
We just hit balls, we didn't keep score.  It took us all a little bit of time to get the hang of it.
We ordered the donut holes with filling that you could squirt inside them.
They had heat lamps on because it was chilly with the rain, but Hallee and I were not a fan of the heat lamps.  It was so hot under them.  We finally got one turned off and got Hallee some ice water and that helped her get calmed down.
The girls liked it, but not as much as the boys, so we were happy to let them keep taking turns while we watched.  It was really fun and I'm glad I finally went there.
We had fun playing games together.
The adults went out to eat a few times.
One day we took all the kids to the park.
The kids all played Monkey on the Ground for a long time and had fun.  The park got pretty crowded and some other kids asked to join in their game.
Elena and Caitlyn had fun on the swings.
Cody and Jonah can always make me laugh!
We loved the warm weather.
I wish the sun would have been out more, but we soaked up that warm weather as much as we could.
Keith and I enjoyed the hot tub with the littles.
We booked an escape room for the teenagers.  They loved that!
Elena and Caitlyn bought a murder mystery game that they had fun doing one night. Caitlyn and Elena had fun going shopping a few times and the boys would leave and go get a treat or go to the store.  I think they all just love the freedom of driving themselves!

I'm so glad you were able to go on a road trip finally! It looks like such a fun trip and the dogs are so cute. I'm glad that Jackson did well, especially in the car! Top golf is a fun place, isn't it?
