Dress Rehearsal

Hallee had her big end of the year concert last weekend.  Friday night was the dress rehearsal.  You wouldn't believe it by her face, but Hallee was having a panic attack right before she went up on stage.  She has been pretty anxious lately and had multiple panic attacks.  Caitlyn came with us to the dress rehearsal because she couldn't come to the show because of Ashlyn's wedding. Caitlyn and I tried our best to calm her down and help her take deep breaths.  Panic attacks are scary because you feel like you can't breath.  She said her throat was hurting and she wouldn't be able to sing.  We gave her some water and told her to just do what she could. Once she got up on stage she was able to calm down and perform great!
Hallee comes alive on stage.  She is such a good performer!
She did all her performances back to back at the dress rehearsal, so she danced twice and then sang her solo.  I could tell she was very nervous about the solo.  I've asked her why she sings in front of people if it stresses her out so much and she said once she is on stage, she loves it. It's just the pre show jitters that are hard for her.
She didn't have time to change so she did everything in her first dance outfit.
It took her a minute to get her voice steady and then I could tell she was starting to relax.
I couldn't take pictures at her show, so I took a lot at her dress rehearsal.  She did so great! Usually she won't sing for us at home, but she did her number a few times for me and Caitlyn.  Her and Laura worked on what Hallee would do on stage while she sang.  It was so good!
After they did their numbers they took some class pictures.
They changed into their other dance costume for pictures.  I snapped a couple of Hallee while we were waiting for her class to change.
Both of their costumes were so cute.
Hallee loves having Annie as a dance teacher.
Hallee loves the girls in her dance class. We were relieved when the dress rehearsal was over and Hallee could come home and relax and get some rest.

It's so impressive that she feels better and calms down once she's on stage. She belongs on stage!
