Bboy Gravity

Wyatt was so excited that he got to attend a three day workshop with Bboy Gravity.  Bboy Gravity is on the first USA Olympic break dance team.  They will compete in the summer of 2024.  They were supposed to have break dancing for the first time in the summer games of 2020, but those were canceled because of Covid.
The camp was two hours a day for three days.  Wyatt loved it and said he learned a lot.
Deon was able to get Gravity to come because Tarzan mentored him and they are good friends. Deon arranged for a meet and greet Wednesday night for the kids from the studio.
I took Wyatt and I enjoyed listening to him talk to the kids.  I was impressed with him and how he focused on hard work and the inclusivity of the breakin community.
Wyatt brought one of his shirts for him to sign.
Deon printed up pictures of Gravity and let all the kids pick one to have him sign.  Wyatt came right home and hung up his picture and his shirt in his room.
Someone shared some videos of the camp with us so I was able to see Wyatt battling. I got a screen shot of the video so it's not the best quality, but it's pretty cool to see an Olympian cheering him on.
Here is the group at the end of camp.
Gravity has been working on a break dance curriculum and this was the first time he has taught it.
Friday night they had a battle and Gravity was one of the judges.
They had 2v2 battles for 15-years-old and under.  Wyatt and Walker made it to the top eight and then went out during that round.
Me and Hallee brought chairs and games and had fun watching the battle.  The battles usually take a long time so we were prepared for that, but this one was only a couple of hours.
After the battle they had the judges dance.  We were all excited to see Gravity dance and he did not disappoint.  His real name is Miguel Rosario. He grew up doing gymnastics and when he was sixteen he discovered breakin and wanted to do that instead.  His gymnast background definitely shows up in his breakin.
Before the battle we were able to get a picture of Wyatt with Bboy Gravity.  Wyatt loved the whole experience and was really sad to see it end.

Happenings

We had a yummy barbecue for Memorial Day.
Caitlyn went and hung out with Amarie on Memorial Day after work.  They bought a cake to celebrate their graduation!
Hallee was so excited to get her braces off!  She got a cup full of candy, dole whip and a gift card.  I wish they would just cut the cost of braces and cut out all the fluff, but she was sure happy about it.
Caitlyn came in one night and asked me to read her name tag.  She got promoted to Training Manager! She was so excited.  She has had a goal of becoming a manager and she is so excited that she reached that goal.  Way to work hard Caitlyn!
Caitlyn was so sweet and took Hallee to spend her gift card.  She knows I hate shopping, so that was so nice of her.  After that the girls did their nails and hung out together.
Hallee and Tessa watched YouTube videos on how to put string and beads in their hair.  They were happy with the outcome and they looked adorable.
Keith went to Hong Kong for a convention for nine days.  We were all pretty sad about it.  He was exhausted and working so hard over there and we were missing him at home.  I let Hallee sleep in my room a couple of nights.  We had fun watching Dance Moms together until we fell asleep.
We were all glad Rockwell and Tessa could come over and play.
Wyatt likes to wrap Jackson up in blankets.
Dallin invited Wyatt to go boating with them for his birthday.  Wyatt had so much fun!
I went to dinner with Pam, Shelley and Haley.  It was so fun and so nice to get out while Keith was gone.  My kids get annoyed with everything I say, so it was nice to be out with people who think I'm funny and wanted to hear what I had to say.  Raising kids is no joke!
It's been a weird June.  It's been rainy and cool.  The kids decided to pull out the slip-n-slide when the sun was out for a bit.

Temple Open House and Leatherby's

On Tuesday we went with Gary and Julie to the Saratoga Springs Temple open house.
We have tickets for the whole family in a few weeks, but we thought it would be fun to go with them too.
Wyatt did not want to take pictures, but Hallee was happy to take some.
Me and Tiff got there early so we took pictures before we went in.
Here is the whole group after the tour.  It was great to see the beautiful temple.
After that we went back to mom and dad's for lunch and for Gary and Julie to pack up.
We went to Leatherby's before Gary and Julie had to go to the airport.
Hallee and Wyatt were happy about going to Leatherby's.  It's still a little weird that Caitlyn and Jonah are always working and off doing their own thing.  I miss having all of my kids with me.  Wyatt loved having this time with Ammon. I'm glad they have got to see each other so much lately.

Smores in Southfork

Gary and Julie came to Utah for a few days after Las Vegas.  On Sunday evening we all met in South Fork and enjoyed an evening in the canyon.
Jacob and Jonah are sure good looking guys!
Jonah came up to the canyon for a bit before he went to a fireside.
Southfork is the best place for kids to play and explore.
Everyone had fun playing with Moose.
I love seeing all of the cousins hanging out and having fun together.
Everyone was excited to roast marshmallows.
We all loved the smores.
The weather was perfect.
It was fun to relax and visit with everyone.
It's been a while since we have done a fire up in the canyon.
I'm so glad Gary and Julie came back to Utah.  On Monday night we went to a park in Taylorsville and hung out and visited again.  It was so nice to have all of that time to visit.
