Vegas

My family was going on a trip to  Arizona to hike the grand canyon and then ending up in Las Vegas. We decided to join them in Las Vegas.  Caitlyn and Jonah stayed home to work, but Hallee and Wyatt were so excited to go!
We stayed at Tahiti Village.  Wyatt remembered staying there, but Hallee doesn't remember.  I think she was in Kindergarten when we met Matt and Lori there.
They had tickets to shows every night and we debated on going, but we decided we didn't want to spend the money.  We feel stretched thin right now with my up coming surgery, not to mention inflation and how everything costs so much right now!
They went to the Jabbawockeez the first night.  We watched videos of all the different shows and Wyatt really wanted to go.  It is a hip/hop breaking group.  We were able to find a seat for him right next to Tiff's family.  Wyatt was thrilled to go and loved it. I'm sure I would have liked this one too, but we waited too long to make the decision, so we just sent Wyatt.
Keith and I were looking forward to a relaxing pool vacation! We were both exhausted for our busy May and his convention that was also thrown into May.
We took Hallee to the pool that night while everyone was at the show.  It felt so good.  We all loved the lazy river.
The next morning they went and did baptisms for the dead.  Wyatt was excited to go with them.  Mom was baptized by Jacob and she said it was so special.
The kids were excited to swim with their cousins on Thursday.
We loved relaxing in the lazy river and visiting with everyone.
Kristin lives in Henderson so we got together Thursday night.  She picked me up and we went to dinner and then went and saw her house.  I loved visiting and catching up with her.
On Friday we listened to a timeshare presentation so we could get our stay for free! Tiff and Paul went in the morning so we took their kids while they were gone and they took our kids during ours. It was annoying to say no over and over, but it was totally worth the free trip!
I took Hallee and Tessa to the craft time that they had at the hotel.
Tiff took the girls swimming while we were gone.  Wyatt, Rockwell and Ammon loved that they could just go around by themselves.  They had fun swimming and playing games together.
That night we took the shuttle to the Strip to get dinner.
It was hot and crowded and we had to avert our eyes from a lot of things.
We went to dinner at the Rainforest Café.
Hallee loved looking at all of the animals.
It was a pricey dinner, but the atmosphere was really cool.
We loved being there with everyone and visiting.
Gary and Julie bought desserts to celebrate Lori's birthday and mine and Keith's.  That was so nice of them! We all loved eating the dessert.
Matt always makes us laugh! He wanted a picture with the gorilla.
They had an extra ticket to O by Cirque du Soleil, so they gave it to me.  I was excited to go with them. The show was so cool.  It was very unique and so amazing.  Keith took the kids back to the hotel with Tiff and Paul and they all went swimming.
After the show we went and walked through the gardens in the Bellagio.
Then we went and watched a few of the water shows at the Bellagio.  I liked going with everyone and seeing things, but one night on the strip was enough for me.  I used to love it, but I am not a fan anymore.  Tahiti Village is so great because it doesn't feel like you are in Vegas.  The next morning we all headed home.  It was a great and much needed vacation for us!

I totally agree with you that one night at the strip was more than enough! The temple was such
a great diversion and yes the hotel didn't seem like Las Vegas. I'm so glad you came and were able to get away! The hotel was beautiful and the restaurant was fun but expensive and I'm so glad you got to go to the O show and that Wyatt got to go to the Jabbawokees. He seemed to enjoy that! It was a fun trip!
