Birthday Boy- 13-years-old

Wyguy is officially a teenager! We had fun celebrating him.  We started out with a party with his friends the day before his birthday. Rockwell gave him the best present, Dr. Pepper and Legos, his two favorite things!
Everyone was so generous and he loved all of his presents.
He wanted to go to Lowes with his friends.  Dallin, Rockwell, Kellen, Eddie and Jacob came.  Charlie, Shae and Parker couldn't make it.  We went on Tuesday because they have buy one get one free.  We found out when we got there that they no longer do it that way and you get buy one hour get a half hour free, instead of pay for one person get the second free.  I was a little shocked when they told me the price, oh well, the boys had a great time and Wyatt loved it, so it was worth it.
The boys all stayed together the whole time and went from activity to activity.  Keith took the day off  and came too.  We thought we would need two cars to get the boys there, but since three of them couldn't make it they could all fit in the van.  Keith drove the boys and I drove in his car, it was great! After the party Keith took them all to the gas station and bought them drinks before he dropped them off at home. Wyatt thanked us for the party and said it was so fun!
Rockwell came over for a few hours after the party.  I made them lunch and they had fun playing with Legos, I don't think they even played video games at all.  I love listening to them laugh together, they are always laughing!
Wednesday was Wyatt's birthday.  He decided to skip break dancing and so Dallin and Eddie could come over and play Magic.  He has really gotten into Magic and is excited when he finds someone that will play with him.  It is a very confusing game with so much to learn, so it's not easy to find someone that knows how to play.
After his friends left Hallee told him that he should ask for McDonalds for lunch.  She said, "I asked on my birthday and mom said yes!"  The three of us went to McDonalds for a birthday lunch. Wyatt was pretty happy with his Big Mac and Dr. Pepper.
After that Wyatt and Hallee built a house out of Legos.  I love birthdays because everyone is in a good mood and gets along!
Wyatt is such a cool kid.  He is easy to talk to and he has a great sense of humor.  He is very creative and loves to come up with big ideas and create things.  I love to see what big ideas he comes up with. Wyatt is so very empathetic and kind.  He worries about how other people are feeling and goes out of his way to be kind to others or give me a hug if he can tell I'm having a hard day.  He is so generous and will share whatever he has.  He loves being a deacon and passing the sacrament.  He wants to be early to church every week so he is ready to go.
I let Wyatt open two of his presents that afternoon. We got him a sword building set and a stand for the sword.
He got right to work building the sword.
I worked on the stand and Hallee had a building set she was working on.  We had fun working on those together while we were waiting for Keith and Caitlyn to get home for dinner.
Jonah had football during dinner so he gave Wyatt his present before he left.  Hallee and Jonah went in together and bought Wyatt some Magic cards.
Wyatt requested cream cheese chicken and rice for dinner.  He loves a good meal!
He was excited to open presents after dinner.
He was thrilled with the Nintendo gift card Caitlyn gave him. She is always so generous.
He loved his new Lego set we got him.
I printed up some pictures for him that I have been meaning to do for a while.
After presents we had pie.
Wyatt finished building the sword, it turned out really cool.
It's hard to believe Wyatt is a teenager.  He has been such a fun kid from day one.  He has the best laugh and smile.  He loves to laugh and have fun.  He loves to tell jokes and make other people laugh. He loves to read if he can find a book he is interested in.  He loves to learn and is very smart. He is a hard worker when he wants to be, but hates cleaning his room or doing jobs around the house.  His room is always a mess and I drive him crazy telling him to clean it up every day.
Wyatt loves breaking dancing, it is the thing he has stuck with and enjoyed the longest.  He has made great friends there and loves to go every week.  He has the best footwork, I love watching him move those feet.  Wyatt is not looking forward to summer ending.  He is excited for Middle School and feels like it will be better than elementary.  He is happy that he will have seven classes every day and won't be in each class very long.  He doesn't like to do the same thing for very long, so he thinks seven classes a day sounds great.  He is always moving from one thing to the next and ready for a change.  We are so blessed to have Wyatt in our family.   I love his sense of adventure and his tender heart.  He would do anything for his family.
That night Wyatt and Keith played the Switch together and then Wyatt came in our room and we watched YouTube videos with him.  I think he had a great birthday and we had a great day celebrating Wyatt!
The next day he built his new Lego set.  He builds them so fast!  Happy Birthday WyGuy, welcome to the teenager club!
