The kids started school last week. It's crazy that we only have two kids going back this year. Hallee is ready for 8th grade. She is excited that she has four classes and lunch with Trinity. I was happy that we were able to find some new school clothes that Hallee liked. She sure looked cute and grown up.
Hallee was a little overwhelmed when she got home on the first day, but she is feeling better about things now. She has loved being back with her friends and is excited that she has friends in all of her classes but one.
Wyatt is excited to be in High School. He says it's so much better than Middle School. He went to the football game last weekend and had a great time. The second day of school Wyatt gave us a scare. He texted me at 8 AM and told me that he had a bad stomach pain and went to the bathroom and passed out. I quickly called Keith who was still home so he could go pick him up. I texted Wyatt and asked if he was okay and a few other questions and he never responded. I was sitting there at work stressed and worried. I called the school and asked them to go check on him. Keith texted me a few minutes later and told me that he was with him in the nurses office and they were getting him a wheelchair because he looked really pale. I left work and met them at home. Wyatt said his stomach pain was better, but I was worried and wanted to make sure he didn't have appendicitis. I took him to Instacare and his vitals were good and they were pretty sure that it wasn't appendicitis. I had them to blood work just to make sure everything looked okay. Poor Wyatt was not happy about that. He developed a fear of needles when he got his wisdom teeth out because they had to keep moving the IV since he kept waking up. I felt bad for him, but I wanted to make sure we covered all of our bases. Everything came back okay and he has been fine ever since. I'm so glad he is okay, that was scary.
Tessa came over on Saturday. The girls had a great time together and I enjoyed playing some Jack box games with them.
They wanted to take Jackson with us when we took Tessa home.
Caitlyn has loved volunteering at the stable this summer. I'm so impressed that she is willing to work so hard in this heat for free. She loves to spend time with the horses, especially Dream.
She loves this horse so much. Caitlyn is not looking forward to going back to school. She has been dreading it all summer. She finally feels happy and doesn't want to leave work or the stable. She had some roommate problems, Amy wasn't very nice to her, so Caitlyn decided to try and sell her contract and try and live with Amarie. Unfortunately, she couldn't sell her contract, but she is in a new apartment with all new roommates so hopefully that will be a better fit.
They told her she can come visit any time and she can volunteer again while she's home for Christmas.
Caitlyn has had a lot of fun hanging out with friends from work. She spent the night at Zoey's house and they bought matching pajamas and had a great time.
She has also loved hanging out with Hunter's wife, Meadow.
Meadow gave Caitlyn this going away basket with all of her favorite things. Caitlyn told her that she's worried people don't like her because she gets sad and depressed, so she gave her a Lego Eeyore and told her that she got her that so she can remember that Eeyore is sad and he had lots of friends and people that love him. That meant a lot to Caitlyn.
Caitlyn and I went to visit grandma last Sunday. Caitlyn showed grandma pictures of her horse.
Grandma wasn't very responsive. Caitlyn read scriptures to her. She seemed to like that.
Caitlyn loves grandma so much and is always so sweet with her and knows just what to do for her.
She stroked her hair and read to her until grandma fell asleep.
I got a nap at mom's on Sunday.
Mom woke up after a bit so Caitlyn started reading to her again. Mom took Caitlyn's hand and moved her phone so she could see it and held it there for a minute, so Caitlyn kept it so there so mom could see what she was reading.
Dad came while we were still there so we got to talk to him for a bit. Caitlyn was glad she got to say goodbye to grandpa too. I went to dad's this week and he showed me this picture in his den. Sandy gave him this picture recently. He loves it so much and so do I! Mom looks so smitten with him. Dad said it was taken at his mom's house and he doesn't remember why they were dancing. That is one of the reasons this picture is so great, it captures their love and admiration for each other. It doesn't surprise me at all that they were just randomly dancing. They have always showed so much love for each other and genuinely enjoy spending time together.
Ron called me on Sunday to tell me he was in town and had just visited mom. He said mom didn't respond at all except for when he told her she was a great sister and then she cried. All of mom siblings just love her so much.
Tiff visited mom on Monday and said she was having a really good day. She even said, "Hi Tiff" and enjoyed watching some videos. Mel and I went the next day and mom didn't talk, but she was responsive. Mel showed her some videos of her grandkids and she liked that. We got her to laugh a lot. Dad said yesterday when he went to visit her she said, "I think I'm reached the end of my rope." She couldn't tell him what that meant and didn't say anything else. Poor mom, it is just heartbreaking to watch her suffer like this. It's breaking all of our hearts. I'm trying to focus on enjoying the time I have with her and not stressing about the things that our out of my control, but oh man I wish I could take this from her!

Wyatt looks so grown up in the picture with his permit!! What a stud! That's so fun Hallee and Trinity have classes and lunch together this year. The basket Cait's friend gave her is so sweet. The Eeyore was such a sweet thought. I love all the pictures of you guys with Mom. This sure is hard!
