We were all so excited that my Grandma came to town last week. We all love Grandma Betty. The kids have been really excited to see her again. They always tell everyone that they have three Grandmas and that Grandma Betty lives in California. Last weekend my cousin was in a play at BYU so Grandma and my aunt and uncle flew in to see it. Last Saturday I went down to Provo with my parents and spent the day with my extended family. It was such a fun, relaxing day for me. We met for lunch and then went and saw the play. Jenna was amazing. No one can believe that she is only a freshman with the lead in a play. Later we spent the day just visiting with family. I left the kids home with Keith. It was so great, I went out to lunch and dinner, did a lot of visiting and didn't have to worry about anyone but myself!
Grandma stayed in Provo for a few days and then came down to my mom's. On Thursday my sisters and Grandma came over for lunch and we just sat and visited all day. It was so nice. I have always wished I lived closer to my Grandma so I love any chance I get to spend time with her. Wyatt warmed right up to her and had fun sitting with her and reading books.
Later my mom came over and her and Jonah had a puzzle race. The kids loved all the attention. In fact Jonah got a little carried away during lunch trying to make everyone laugh. He will do anything for a laugh! The other night at dinner he asked Grandma Betty, "if you saw your husband come down from heaven would you run and hug him and kiss him?" She told him she would and he said, "would you just keep kissing him and kissing him?" The kids thought it was funny when she said yes.
I love that my kids know my Grandma so well. Caitlyn spent all Wednesday night cleaning her room because she wanted it to be perfect for Grandma Betty. They loved showing her their rooms and all of their toys.
We had fun going to lunch, shopping and a lot of visiting with Grandma. Keith was so great and kept the kids a lot so I could have plenty of time to spend with Grandma.
We were all sad to see her go home yesterday. Caitlyn has the hardest times with goodbyes. I'm so glad that Grandma came for a visit, it has been a great week.
