Caitlyn had Friday and Monday off of school. I love long weekends. I love having her home and I love not having to get her off to school in the morning or wait in the horribly long pick up line after school. I ended up being really sick this weekend. I must have some kind of cold/flu thing. I felt horrible on Thursday. I literally couldn't stand for long, my whole body ached and my head was pounding. I think my immune system is really weak when I'm pregnant because I seem to catch everything. I took some Tylenol because I had a fever and that helped a little, but I pretty much just laid around as much as I could.
Keith offered to come home from work, but I knew he was swamped and I figured I could muddle through the night. The kids were so good. We watched a movie and then they just ran around and played and entertained Wyatt. They were having a great time and I was so grateful that they were being so good so I could rest. I love watching the three of them play. They have so much fun running, dancing and chasing each other.
Caitlyn and Jonah will do anything to get Wyatt to play with them. This leads to one spoiled little boy. He was pointing where the kids needed to line up so they could race and he was the leader as far as when they started. It always amazes me how little kids who can't even talk still seem to rule the house.
Friday I still felt awful so we had another day at home. Wyatt was mad at me and only wanted Caitlyn. He wouldn't come to me to get him out of his crib, he only wanted Caitlyn to lift him out. Caitlyn was thrilled to take over the mother roll. She was so helpful with him. It was so great because I had no energy and couldn't do much. We made it through another night without Keith. Saturday and Sunday I was still sick, but feeling better. Keith was home so I was able to get a lot of rest. I'm still feeling a little sick, but nothing like last week.
I found these rain boots really cheap at Kohls. Wyatt wanted to wear them all morning.
This is very common for Wyatt. He sits and looks at books all of the time. He is constantly bringing books to us to read to him. Now he waves his arm to say, "come on" and he will lead you to the couch with his books.
He likes to say "hush" when we read Good Night Moon.
Do you ever look at your kids and think, wow they grew up over night! Jonah looked so old the other day before pre-school. He has really matured over the last year. He has such a fun personality and really loves to make people laugh. He loves attention and will put on quite a show. He always keeps us laughing.
