Summer

This first month of summer vacation has flown by.  We like to stay busy and get out a lot. It is nice to have Caitlyn home with us all day.  Caitlyn and Jonah had a hard time adjusting at first.  They were fighting all of the time, but luckily that has been better.  I think Jonah feels a little left out because Caitlyn plays with Wyatt a lot.  Our ward had a carnival a couple of weeks ago and the kids were so excited to go.  Caitlyn loved getting her face painted.
Wyatt was happy with his bag of popcorn.  This kid loves popcorn!
Jonah had fun playing the bean bag toss.  It was fun to watch the kids play games, play in the bounce house and eat too many treats!
It has been a very hot summer.  The high temperatures and my pregnancy don't mix well.  We have had a few cool days here and there.  We take advantage of those days and get outside so the kids can ride their bikes and play.
Wyatt loves bikes.  He can't reach the pedals so he just pushes along with his feet. We have been to classic fun center a few times for the kids to ride their scooters and Wyatt loves riding his big wheel around.  We have also done the bounce houses there a few times.  I always forget my camera every time we go.  It is nice to have an indoor place to go where we can stay out of the heat, but they can still get plenty of exersize.
We spend a lot of time playing with cousins during the summer.  We go to the park a lot.  We go in the monring before it gets too hot.  Ataiya is my lifesaver.  She plays with Wyatt the whole time.  She takes him on the slides and takes care of him on the playground.  I couldn't do it without her.  There is no way I can chase Wyatt around on the playground at this stage of my pregnancy.  Wyatt loves Atayia and all of the attention that she gives him.
Kyle came into town a week before the rest of his family.  It has been fun having him around.  The kids love him.  At first Wyatt just kept staring at him, but now he says "kywa" and loves when Kyle teases him.  Kyle watched the kids for my birthday so Keith and I could go to lunch.  After that we took him with us to the water slides for the evening.
We have been going to the summer movies for kids.  Caitlyn and Jonah love it.  Wyatt gets bored and will ask me if I need to go potty so I will take him out.  Keith has been able to come with us too, which we all love.
My mom took all of the cousins bowling yesterday.  The kids had a great time.
I love watching the kids have fun.  I'm down to the last three weeks before the baby comes.  I can't wait.  I have always wanted to be one of those pregnant women that never complain, but I haven't even come close on this one.  I have a few lucky people that get to hear all of my complaints.  I really am so grateful to be pregnant.  This one has been tough with being sick a lot (I seem to catch everything while I'm pregnant) depression, anxiety, headaches and just complete exhaustion.  I also retain a lot of water when I'm pregnant so I'm really swollen.  With all that being said, I wouldn't trade it for anything.  It has made it a little tricky to do fun activities with the kids.  We have still managed to do a lot of fun things though.

Keith's birthday

June is our month of parties.  Keith and I celebrated our 9th anniversary last week.  My mom took the kids for the afternoon/evening and Keith and I went to the Salt Lake Temple to do sealings.  We always try to do that around our anniversary.  It is always fun to reminisce about our wedding day. After that we went to Tucanos.  It was a great to have a night out together.  We have had a great nine years together and look forward to many more! Keith and I also have our birthdays in June.  Yesterday was Keith's birthday.  The kids were so excited to give him their presents.
Wyatt should enjoy his birthday this year because he loves opening presents.
Keith found out the day before his birthday that he won an IPad at work.  Talk about the perfect birthday present!  Discover card keeps us in the loop with technology.  Keith has won an ipod, ipod touch, a portable dvd player and now an IPad.  Keith is such a fun dad, his first thought was to put fun games on the IPad for the kids.  They have all had fun playing on it.
I surprised Keith (well as long as I could hold it in) and had my nephew come babysit so we could go to lunch.  It was so nice to have an uninterrupted conversation.  It has been so fun to be able to get out together without the kids.  We really need to do that more often.  After lunch we all went to Classic water slides for the evening.  It was a fun day and we all loved having Keith home all day.  These kids are sure lucky to have such a wonderful dad and I'm very lucky to have such an amazing, selfless husband!

Last soccer game

Jonah had his last soccer game on Saturday.  He has been a little intimidated this season because he is playing with older kids.  Things usually come easily for Jonah, so he isn't used to having to work hard for things.  He is developing a bad habit of not wanting to do things if they are hard or scary.  I have been pushing him this season because I know he can hold his own with these older boys if he would get over his fear.
He loved having Keith for his coach.  Keith had fun playing against all of the kids during their practice.  Jonah has scored a few goals this season and he always steps up his game after he gets a goal. I keep telling him that I don't care if he gets any goals as long as he plays his hardest the whole game.
I love how Jonah is leaning on Keith.  Jonah started out the game pretty timid.  There is one boy on Jonah's team that is really aggressive so Jonah hangs back and lets him take over instead of getting in there and fighting for the ball.
In the second half Jonah scored a goal.  Here he is giving me the thumbs up on his way back down the field.  After that goal he seemed to have the confidence he needed to be aggressive.  He was all over the ball after that, making great blocks and passes and ended up scoring another goal.  I love watching him get over his fear and play his hardest.
Here he is getting his medal from Keith.
He loves sports and I love to watch him play.  It was great to end the season on a high note.  He is already planning what sport he wants to play next.  I'm trying to figure out what we can handle with a newborn!

Party

Amarie had her birthday party at Jungle Jims on Monday and invited us to come.  Caitlyn and Jonah were so excited.  They spent all morning planning what rides they would go on first.  They went right for the roller coaster.
Last time we went Wyatt loved all the rides, so I put him right on the airplanes and thought he would love it.  He liked it for a minute and then cried.  He pulled the handle down to make the airplane go up and I think that scared him and he didn't know how to go back down.
He didn't like the merry-go-round much either.  Ataiya took him on the jeeps and he loved it.
This is definitely his favorite ride.  He threw a fit when I took him off.  He likes to let me know that he is mad by hitting something.  He kept hitting the garbage and right before we left he threw his hat in the garbage.  Little stinker!
Eventually he went on the swings and loved those and loved riding on this with Caitlyn.

Caitlyn and Jonah had a great time playing with their cousins.
Caitlyn cried the whole last week of school because she didn't want it to end.  I kept trying to talk about all the fun things we are going to do this summer to cheer her up, but she was so anxious about school ending.  I would always get her calmed down and tried to be very patient because I know goodbyes are hard for her. She wrote her teacher this letter telling her how much she would miss her.  The night before school ended she was out of bed crying again and I finally had to tell her that enough was enough.  It is okay to be sad, but you have to move on and choose to be happy.  I was worried about her getting through her last day of school, but she was fine.  Funny that she spent the first week of school crying because she wanted to be home and the last week crying because she didn't want to leave.  I think she is realizing that summer is pretty fun!

Classic Waterslides

Last year we went to Classic fun center and loved it, so this year we decided to get a summer pass.  We went to the water park on Saturday and had a great time.  I took a bunch of pictures so I don't have to take them every time we go.  Caitlyn couldn't wait to go down the slides.
Jonah loves the water slides. He had fun racing Caitlyn and Keith down the slides.
Wyatt was not a fan of the water slides.
He liked to sit with me and watch for the kids and Keith to come down the slides.  I love watching the kids have fun.  It is so fun to see them smiling and laughing and having a great time.
Caitlyn and Jonah went down together a few times.  They were laughing this time because the mat flew out from under them.
Wyatt didn't like the kiddie pool at first.  After he got used to it he liked sitting on my lap and splashing.  We had him try this slide, even though he didn't want to, and he loved it.  He went on it over and over again.  It was a giant frog and as soon as he came down he would say, "froggy, froggy!"  I love this picture with Keith and the kids waiting for him at the bottom.
He loved the slide and always smiled the whole way down.
Keith thinks this is the funniest picture.  Wyatt was thrilled with his cracker.  We packed a dinner and took a break to eat and then went back to swimming.  It wasn't very crowded while we were there and after dinner we almost had the place to ourselves, it was great.
Caitlyn wanted to dry off on her towel for a while.  Wyatt ran right over to join her.  Caitlyn is always taking care of Wyatt.  She loves taking on the little mother role.
Wyatt had fun drying off with Jonah too.
The kiddie pool is heated so the kids liked to swim after they did the water slides for a while.  It was a fun day.  I think we will be enjoying a lot of time here this summer.
