Amarie had her birthday party at Jungle Jims on Monday and invited us to come. Caitlyn and Jonah were so excited. They spent all morning planning what rides they would go on first. They went right for the roller coaster.
Last time we went Wyatt loved all the rides, so I put him right on the airplanes and thought he would love it. He liked it for a minute and then cried. He pulled the handle down to make the airplane go up and I think that scared him and he didn't know how to go back down.
He didn't like the merry-go-round much either. Ataiya took him on the jeeps and he loved it.
This is definitely his favorite ride. He threw a fit when I took him off. He likes to let me know that he is mad by hitting something. He kept hitting the garbage and right before we left he threw his hat in the garbage. Little stinker!
Eventually he went on the swings and loved those and loved riding on this with Caitlyn.
Caitlyn and Jonah had a great time playing with their cousins.
Caitlyn cried the whole last week of school because she didn't want it to end. I kept trying to talk about all the fun things we are going to do this summer to cheer her up, but she was so anxious about school ending. I would always get her calmed down and tried to be very patient because I know goodbyes are hard for her. She wrote her teacher this letter telling her how much she would miss her. The night before school ended she was out of bed crying again and I finally had to tell her that enough was enough. It is okay to be sad, but you have to move on and choose to be happy. I was worried about her getting through her last day of school, but she was fine. Funny that she spent the first week of school crying because she wanted to be home and the last week crying because she didn't want to leave. I think she is realizing that summer is pretty fun!
