Ruby

The kids were nervous to meet Matt and Lori's dog, Ruby.  My kids are all scared of dogs so they were really nervous about staying in a house with one.  Lori held Ruby when we got there and it took Caitlyn and Jonah a couple of days before they were comfortable with her.  Wyatt got over his fear really quick.  He loved petting Ruby and letting her lick him.

Caitlyn wanted to be brave so bad, but it was tough for her.  She would hide out in Elena's room and we had to hold Ruby when she came down.  Matt and Lori were so patient with her and after a few days she got more comfortable and could be around her with out being scared.

She was so proud of herself when she finally held Ruby. 

I was a little surprised that it took Jonah so long to get over his nerves.  Probably because he was always running so Ruby thought it was fun to chase him.  By the end they were all comfortable with her.  Now they all want a dog.  I'm not a dog person, but I could be talked into a dog like Ruby.

Hallee called Ruby, "baby." Ruby learned quickly to stay away from Hallee.  Hallee doesn't know how to be soft.  They only time Ruby went around Hallee was at meal time because she knew Hallee would drop food.

Hallee warmed right up to Matt and Lori.  She had fun trying to take over Matt's IPAD.

Jonah lost his second tooth in Arizona.  This is also the second tooth we have lost before it made it under his pillow.  At least the tooth fairy still comes!

The kids all love Matt and Lori.  I love to see my kids have fun with my brother. 

Matt and Lori are the best hosts ever.  They make us feel so welcome and we love hanging out with them.  We stayed up every night and played phase 10.  Matt and Keith get a little competitive!  It was so fun to visit with them.  Matt couldn't have picked a better wife.  Lori and I had fun shopping and visiting during the day.  We sure wish we lived closer to these guys!
