We were all excited to go to Arizona this summer. We went two years ago at the same time of year and had a great time. Last year we went in April and I think I like it better in the summer. The main reason is because Matt and Lori have a pool in their back yard. With young kids a busy vacation doesn't appeal to me. I love to go to Arizona and have a nice relaxing vacation. Caitlyn and Jonah have so much fun with Cody and Elena. They play all day and we just have to set out food for them. We spend the days relaxing and swimming. I love it!
Hallee and Wyatt had a lot of fun too. They both loved their dog Ruby and had fun swimming and just playing. I loved that we could be swimming while Hallee and Wyatt took their naps inside.
Every day we swam for a few hours. My kids love to swim so they were in heaven.
Hallee thought it was more fun to eat rocks.
The kids loved eating lunch outside while they were swimming.
Matt made us pina coladas. That is my kind of vacation, sipping pina coladas by the pool!
They had an umbrella on the stairs of the pool which was so nice. Hallee loved to play with it. Wyatt played on the stairs most of the time so it was great to have him shaded.
These four are so cute. They have so much fun together.
They came up with all sorts of fun games to play in the pool.
The first day Hallee didn't like her floaty, but the second day she loved it and stayed in it for a long time. It was great.
Caitlyn got so tan. I couldn't believe how dark she got in such a short time. I wish I could do that!
Hallee liked to play on the stairs. She doesn't like to be restrained for long before she needs some freedom. When we were at church, the Sunday school teacher asked if there were any visitors. He said, "Tell us where you are from and why you decided to come here in August." I thought it was funny. We have been asked that a lot, but for us it is the perfect vacation!
