Gingerbread Houses

We had such a fun week last week.  Matt and Lori were in town and we had so much fun spending time with every one.  The kids were excited to make gingerbread houses.  I can't believe how much candy we went through.

Wyatt was really into it this year.  He needed help with the frosting, but he had so much fun.

Caitlyn and Jonah had fun doing it on their own.  I am so grateful for my independent children!

I think Caitlyn and Jonah have the same game plan, put as much candy as you can on the house!

Jonah did a great job.  He went a little crazy with the frosting and had to borrow some from Caitlyn.

Hallee slept through the madness so she got to make one after all the kids were finished.  I put frosting on and showed her how to stick the candy on.  Every time I put candy on, she would pull it off and eat it.

She thought it was pretty neat that she just got to sit there and eat candy.

I stopped giving her candy after I realized that none of it was going to make it on the house.  She decided she would just dig into the house instead.

On Tuesday I took Cody and Elena with me to Caitlyn's school to see her project on the Ute Indians.  She did a great job.  After that I checked Caitlyn and Jonah out of school and we headed to grandma's.  We pretty much spent the next four days at grandma's house.  I went to a late movie with Matt and Lori one night and Keith went the next night.  On Wednesday all of the siblings went to lunch while grandma kept all the kids.  It is so nice to talk without being interrupted.  Lori and I went shopping Thursday night and had a lot of fun.  I love spending time with my family.  We missed Gary and Julie and their family though!
