Christmas 2013

The kids woke up around 7 AM Christmas morning.  Unfortunately, I had already been awake for hours.  I'm worse than the kids.  I'm so excited for them to open their presents that I can't sleep!  Santa brought the kids sunglasses in their stocking!
Wyatt kept changing his mind, but at one point he asked for a big scooter like Jonah's.  He was excited to get it and has been riding it all over the house.
Jonah got a rip stick.  He was really excited to get it.  He has been really frustrated trying to learn how to ride it.  I keep trying to tell him that it is really tough and might take him a while, but he wants it to come easy.
Hallee got a rocking horse.  If you push the ear it sings songs.  She loves it and is always turning on the music even if she isn't riding it.  She was the most excited about the candy canes.  She carried them every where and figured out how to open and eat them.  We kept thinking we had them all put away and somehow she would have another candy cane in her mouth.
Caitlyn got her sewing machine that she was hoping for.  She was so excited to see it waiting for her. We have had a lot of fun sewing different projects.  Luckily I have my mom to call for advice because I don't know much about sewing.
I love seeing the kid's excited faces while they open their presents.
I think Jonah wins the prize for the most excited this year.  He was going crazy all morning because he was so exited.  He got so excited about every present that he opened and he was excited for everyone else too.
Caitlyn always gets so excited about anything any one gives her, so watching her open presents is so much fun.  She got so excited about every little present.
She was really excited with the Fabelhaven series.  She was also really excited about her, Barbie closest, Barbie dolls, fur real dog and computer.
Caitlyn and Jonah have been having a lot of fun with the bow and arrows.
Hallee got the hang of unwrapping, but she liked to play with every thing she opened so it took a while to get through her presents.  We really didn't buy her a lot because I knew that she wouldn't want to open a ton of presents and she doesn't need anything!
I was excited when I found this coloring table.  She loves to color!  She has had a lot of fun with this.
Her giggling baby was also a big hit.  She loves babies!  She has been putting her babies in the little car seat we have and carrying them all over.
Hallee always went back to her horse.  She would open a present and then go over and ride her horse for a while.  She even ate her breakfast on there.
Wyatt was so fun this year.  He was so excited about Christmas.  He loved opening his presents, but he was easily distracted too.
He wanted to open ever present and play with it.  It took him a while to get through all of his presents.  He got a lot of outdoor toys.  He got a playground ball, soccer ball, football, bat and ball, baseball glove and ball and a tee.
I was excited when I found this Mickey Mouse Club House set.  He is always pretending everything is a map, so this set was prefect for him.  The other day we had fun following the map to fight all the bad guys!
I love that smile!
I guess Jonah was a little surprised about his football.  He loved his shaving set, magnetix, playground ball, angry bird, spy watch, darts, magic cards, dodge tag and set to build tents.
Later Grandma came over to bring more presents and see what the kids got.  Alexys was sick so Grandpa stayed home with her.  Those things are hard, we sure missed having grandpa here.  Dante came over and brought the kids presents.  It was really sweet that he did that.  I took him and Alexys shopping a couple of weeks ago while they were staying with us.  I told them I really wanted them to think about all grandma and grandpa have done for them.  They were both sweet and picked them out some presents and Dante wrote a really sweet note thanking them for all that they do.  Dante and Alexys are so lucky to have them and so are we.  We had our traditional eggs benedict breakfast and spent the day playing with the kid's new toys.  Later we went to my parents for dinner.  It was a great Christmas.  It sure came and went fast this year!

I loved seeing your children on Christmas morning opening their gifts. You really caught Jonah's excitement well! Good job! Can you put me on the list to be notified when you do a new post on your blog?
