We had two weeks and one day for our winter break this year. I was excited about not having to be on a schedule and drive the kids to school, but worried about entertaining them! We started out by having Dante and Alexys sleep over so my parents could celebrate their anniversary. Caitlyn and Jonah loved it.
We had them over yesterday morning too and Alexys was thrilled that Hallee sat on her lap and posed for a picture!
Keith had the whole week of Christmas off and Monday and Tuesday this week. It was so nice having him home. We were all sick on and off with colds so it was nice to have time to rest and take it easy. Jonah and Keith went to the Jazz game Friday night. Jonah got two tickets from Jr. Jazz. It was perfect that they were that week. They were out until after 10 PM! Keith said they had a great time and Jonah was really into the game this time. I guess it was a great game and they beat the Lakers by 2 points. I let Caitlyn have a friend over that night for a late over. Jonah also got invited to his friends house. He was really excited because it is one of his best friends from school.
We have loved spending a lot of time with cousins. Caitlyn and Wyatt went to Mel's house while Jonah was at his friends. They loved it. Wyatt was so excited. He is always asking to go to Mel's house. Keith and I loved it because all of our kids were gone while Hallee was napping! Another day we had Amarie over and Jonah went over to play with EJ and Elijah. Jonah was so excited to tell me that they rode their scooters all the way down to 7-11 twice (apparently they were really excited about a chip sale they were having and went home to tell Mel about it and went back to get the chips). Jonah thought that was so cool that they rode all the way there by themselves.
We spent a lot of time at home playing with new toys and just relaxing. Hallee loves to have everyone read to her. I love that Jonah will stop whatever he is doing to read to her.
Caitlyn and I have had fun sewing.
I helped her make everyone a neck pillow. She was pretty proud of herself.
Keith helped the kids make a huge tent in the toy room. They are so excited that they can just leave it up in there. We bought them these fort kits for Christmas. They love to make tents, so we thought this would be perfect for them. You just put the sticks together and then put sheets over them. They love it!.
We have been potty training Wyatt. It has been great to have Keith here to help me. There is never a convenient time to potty train! Wyatt has been fighting it a little, but after one day of a few accidents he has been staying dry. He is so stubborn so he will fight you to the death if he doesn't want to go potty, but I think he will never be ready if we don't push him a little. He has been dry for a few days now!
Wyatt and Jonah got these little ball tag games. They are fun and even Hallee likes them. The best part is the balls are so soft!
Wyatt graduated from nursery! I was substituting in primary on Sunday and they brought him in to sit in sharing time for a while. He was in this hat and looked so cute. He kept waving to me, Caitlyn and Jonah. He is excited for primary, so I really hope he is after going this week!
Me, Keith, Caitlyn and Jonah have had colds during the break. By some miracle Hallee and Wyatt have stayed healthy. I am so grateful! I just love that perfect face!
Hallee loves Wyatt's hat. Today Caitlyn's friend invited her over for the day to celebrate her birthday. Tonight Jonah is sleeping over at my parents for the boy cousin sleepover. Mel is taking all of the girls to her house so Caitlyn is thrilled. Keith and I will feel like we are on vacation with only two kids at home tonight!
