Field Day

Yesterday was field day at the school.  I volunteered when I didn't think I was going on Caitlyn's field trip.  I talked to a few people and everyone thought it would be fine to bring Hallee and Wyatt along.  I was planning on that, but Tiff was nice enough to drive down here and watch Hallee and Wyatt.  I didn't want her to drive out here, but she did and I appreciate it so much!
I love leaving my kids with someone who loves them!  I could just eat Tessa right up, isn't she a doll?
I got stuck with one of the more boring games.  The kids sat in a circle and passed around a bowl of noodles and the person who was blindfolded in the middle had to point where they heard the shaking.  I tried to make it a little more interesting and the kids seemed to have fun with it.
I went in the morning with the 1st-3rd graders.  I am really glad I didn't have to play this game with the older kids!  They had relay races, a bounce house, obstacle courses and a few other fun things for them.  I'm so glad that there are people that are willing to be in charge of these things because it would terrify me.  I can show up and help, but that is about it!
The nice thing is I was in the shade the whole time.  They also had a lady going around bringing drinks to all of the volunteers, which I thought was really nice.
Kaitlynn, Caitlyn and Katelyn.
This year proved that three Caitlyn's in one class is too many!  Caitlyn has felt torn between these two all year.  They don't like each other and they both want to play with Caitlyn and she doesn't know what to do about it.  Caitlyn's teacher recommended that Katelyn and Kaitlynn be separated and that my Caitlyn would be fine in either class.  I'm hoping next year is better with the friend drama! It did make me feel good that all of Caitlyn's friends wanted to be in my group.  They all love Keith, but he wasn't there so I'm glad they would settle for me!
Jonah always runs up and gives me a hug when I see him at school.  This is very strange because Jonah is not a hugger.  I will take the hugs any time I can get them.
A few of the boys were trying to get a commitment from me about when they could come over and play with Jonah.  I guess we will have to do some play dates this summer!  I love to see my kids interacting with their friends and having fun.  I'm so glad I was able to help with this and go on a field trip with each of them and I am so grateful for my sisters and my mom for sacrificing their time so I could do it.
