4th of July

I love the 4th of July, it is right up there in my favorite holidays.  I love barbecues and fireworks and celebrating this wonderful country that we live in. I am so grateful to live in the United States of America.  I'm so grateful for those that are willing to sacrifice to make this country free.  I hope that God will continue to bless this country and keep it free!
The kids love the 4th of July.  Usually we have my family reunion during the 4th, but we aren't doing it this year.  We still went to my parents and celebrated with those of us that live here.
Love these cute girls.  We have to scream and yell and dance around just to get them to look at the camera at the same time, getting them both to smile is out of the question!
After dinner the boys were playing basketball.  Jonah used the heat as an excuse to take his shirt off, I think he likes to show off his muscles.  It was hot, I wasn't even that hot in Arizona!
This basketball hoop has been great for the kids.  The girls ended up joining in the game and it was so fun to watch them.
I love Jonah's face after he makes a basket.  He is so proud!
Wyatt thought it was so funny when EJ sat on his lap.
The kids were all excited for fireworks.
The boys always light the fireworks and Jonah was thrilled that we let him this year.  Keith helped him the first time and he was fine after that.  He loves doing things like this that make him feel important and grown up.
Hallee really liked the fireworks at first.  After every one she would say, "I want more fireworks."
She got scared when they started getting loud.  She wanted to go inside, but she settled for sitting in the garage instead.  Caitlyn, who is always concerned about Hallee, went and sat in the garage with her and held her when she got scared.  Caitlyn will be a wonderful mother some day.
Wyatt was really funny.  He would turn around and comment to Mel and my mom about every firework.  He would comment on how loud or big they were.  He is a funny kid.  He loves when people will just sit and listen to him talk!
Poor dad was tired!
We got home around 10 PM and headed into the back yard to watch fireworks.  We have a great view of the whole valley so we could see a ton of different firework shows.  We ended up sitting on the trampoline and watching them.  It is always fun to break the norm and let the kids stay up late or do something we don't normally do.  I had high hopes of everyone sleeping in this morning, but it didn't work out that way!  We had another great 4th of July!
