Jonah had his last track meet on Wednesday. He did great this season. Last Friday we had a meet and the top eight would move onto the All County Track Meet. He took 9th in the 400 M and I think he took 18th in the 100 M.
All season he said he wanted to run the 800 M, but he would decide against it at every track meet. I think he was too scared to do it so I decided he needed a little push. I finally talked him (or maybe forced him) into it. He did great and even admitted he was glad that he did it. He took 7th place so he was able to move on to All County in it.
He loves to beat everyone off the line so he runs as fast as he can and then realizes that he gets tired and has to slow down. Funny kid!
Keith was at Scout camp during the meet on Wednesday and we had the flu going through the family so I wasn't sure if we were going to make it, but I really wanted him to be able to do it. Jonah and I just ran out there for his event and left right after it. He did great! He got 9th place.
Here he is with his ribbons from this season. I like that they have to earn the ribbons instead of just getting a participation award. It makes them more special and hopefully teaches him that it is okay not to win every time!
Caitlyn and Jonah have been roller blading a lot lately. After Jonah's first track meet they started making up roller blading meets. They made ribbons and everything. I love watching how excited they get about things.
