I got to go on Jonah's field trip. We went to Discovery Gateway. It was really nice because I didn't have to ride the bus and I only had three boys in my group! Jonah was excited to have me there, I know I have to enjoy that while it lasts!
Jonah just ran from one thing to the next.
Gaven was disappointed that he wasn't in our group. They still got to play together though.
Jonah has a really good group of boys in the immersion class with him. I'm really happy with the friends he has made.
This was our group. I knew the other two boys and they are both good kids, so it made my job a lot easier!
They have this hurricane simulator upstairs. It costs $2 and Jonah was thrilled when I told him he could do it. He invited as many kids as could fit in there with him and they all loved it. My pictures didn't turn out, but it was so funny to hear all of them laughing and screaming.
They went to a park right by our house for lunch. I had carpooled with some other moms so I had Keith and the kids meet me at the park and I rode with them back to the school for Caitlyn's program. Wyatt loved playing with Jonah and his friends.
Keith brought a ball. It didn't take long for all of the boys to run over for a game of kick ball. Jonah had a blast. It is fun to see Jonah interact with his teachers and friends.
I didn't go on Caitlyn's field trip this year, which caused me some guilt. I haven't been in the school much at all this year. It is so hard with younger kids and I know I could get babysitters, but I just didn't this year. Oh well, you just do the best you can. I did get to see the end of Caitlyn's 4th grade party, I rushed outside after Jonah's 2nd grade program.
Caitlyn has had a rough year. She never clicked with any of the girls in her class. I hope she will have a better group of girls in her class next year. I'm impressed with Caitlyn because she just makes the best of it. I know she didn't love going to school every day, but she rarely complained.
