Jonah in all of his humility said, "It was like they were running a different race," about the other kids in his heat when he passed the finish line long before the rest of them.
He may not be humble, but he is fast. Caitlyn and Jonah are both taking track this summer. They had a practice meet last night. Jonah did awesome in the 400 Meter. I think that is his best event. He can maintain his fast speed all the way around the track.
Caitlyn's biggest motivation for taking track this year was taking it with Amarie. Caitlyn doesn't love running and practice is really hard for her, but she loves being with Amarie and she likes the meets.
Caitlyn did two sprints last night. I was really proud of her, she ran hard!
If she could chose she would do all field events. She did the shot put and the long jump last night.
She sure looks cute after just running a race!
Jonah loves running. It is his life goal to beat everyone in everything, so track is great for him!
He is planning on doing some distance runs this year. He wasn't feeling great last night so he didn't do it, but he wants to do the mile this year.
Wyatt can't wait until he is old enough to run track next year. He had fun racing on the track after the meet.
It was a fun night. We sat with Mel and her family and my parents and the kids came. We all had a good time visiting and watching the kids run.
