Please pass the fingers!

We had our Halloween dinner tonight.  We had mummy's, ghosts, fingers, pumpkins and witches brew for dessert!  The kids loved it.  I got all of my ideas from Mel.  I love talking to my sisters because they help me want to be a better mom.  Not in the feel bad about yourself kind of way, but in the I should do that and steal their ideas kind of way!
Yesterday Jonah had a minor procedure at the Urologist at Primary Children's Hospital.  He was nervous, but it went great.  I love all of the staff up there, they helped Jonah feel comfortable.  We were up there for a couple of hours, but that was just to let the numbing cream do its job, the actual procedure was a couple of minutes.  Jonah handled it like a champ.  Love this cute boy!
I never would have guessed, but those few hours at Primary Children's were the most relaxing of my day.  Little miss Princess, Hallee, was a nightmare yesterday.  You have never seen fits like these!  The people buying our home had their inspector come yesterday, so we had to be out of the house for three hours.  It was in the morning so I just had Hallee and Wyatt.  We went to Walmart first and then to the park so they could play before we had to shop again at Sam's Club.  When we walked into Sam's Club Hallee got upset about something and freaked out.  She was screaming so loud and would not stop, so I put her in the cart and just ignored her.  She was screaming that she wanted to get out of the cart, but when I took her out she would hit me so I put her back in and said she could come out when she calmed down.  She screamed for a good ten minutes.  It was crazy loud, people were coming over to see what was happening.  One older lady actually got in Hallee's face and shushed her, that was a big help, HA!  I'm sure it was annoying for the shoppers, but what are you going to do, I have to shop!  She finally calmed down and then she started up again on the way out.  I think most of it had to do with the fact that she didn't feel good and she was exhausted.  As soon as I walked in the house last night I could hear her screaming again.  Keith said she was in her room in time out. She threw another whopper of a fit at bedtime.  It was a long day!  This morning her voice is hoarse and she said, "my voice is bad, I need medicine to make it good again."  I told her it was from her long day of screaming!  Her only saving grace yesterday was when she came up to me and said, "mom I have something to say to you, I'm sorry."
The kids didn't have school today so we went and visited Keith at work.  It was fun to see his building and his office.  The kids had fun playing at his desk.  It was a long drive! I feel bad that he does that twice a day!

Are you going to be mad if I lie to you?

Wyatt has been lying to get out of trouble lately.  I keep telling him that he will be in more trouble if he lies.  Now he asks me if I will be mad if he lies to me.  He is a sensitive kid so it is really hard to discipline him and still make him feel loved.
Keith is loving his new job.  We had to go out and buy him some new clothes.  It is a pretty casual office, but not as casual as Discover Card.  He sure looks handsome!  He has just been thrown into everything, there really isn't much training for him.  He has just jumped in and started taking care of things.  His boss is thrilled to have him because he travels a lot so he is glad that Keith is there to run the centers while he is gone.  The commute is annoying, it makes Keith's day so long.  We were excited that our house went under contract on Saturday! Now we are starting to look for a new home.  It is a little scary that we only have five weeks to find a place to live, but I know something will work out, it always does.  It will be so great when we are past all of this and out of the transition phase.
I bought Jazz tickets last week for Jonah and I and then I found out I had a meeting so I bought another one and Keith took the boys.  They had a great time.  Jonah and Wyatt were thrilled that they were on the jumbotron.  They both try to get on it every game.  They were dancing around and when they realized they were on there they both lifted their shirts and started doing the belly roll.  Funny boys!
Hallee is a handful these days.  She is constantly screaming.  When she gets upset she will start yelling "ouch" and say something hurts and she is completely irrational.  It is so exhausting.  It is hard to stay frustrated with such a cute girl though!
She says the funniest things.  The other night she said that her tummy hurt and she needed to watch a show because "only shows help tummies feel better."  This morning she told me that she was wrapped up like a hot dog in her bed.  The other morning she was telling me that ghosts will poke your eyeballs out if you don't obey your dads.  Keith swears he didn't tell her that!
Hallee loves dress up!  She is having a very hard time picking out a Halloween costume because she loves all of her dress up.
Hallee and Wyatt got a yucky cold and a fever this weekend.  Poor kids have not felt good.  Apparently Hallee doesn't sleep when she is sick.  She has been up so much at night.  It is killing me. Last night she was yelling in her sleep that Jonah took the IPAD.
Saturday was a nice day so we took the kids to a new park. It was a lot of fun.
They love when Keith and I get out there and play with them.
Saturday night I got to go out with my girls!  We sat at Zupas for five hours!  I loved it.  I'm glad Kenzie had her first girls night!
Yesterday was crazy hair day.  I was thrilled when the kids told me that they wanted to wear wigs, that makes my job a lot easier.
Last week we went to Chuck-a-rama with Katie and Ben.  It was a lot of fun.  This was the night before Ben's surgery.  We went to their house after to give Ben a blessing and they ended up doing a blessing for Keith, Ben, Steve, Katie and Kenzie.  I don't know how Katie and Ben do it.  They have so much on their plate right now.  Having a two-week old is hard enough, but you add in surgery for your husband, a new job, building a home and worrying about Kenzie's hearing and I think I would be in the looney bin.
I'm so glad Katie and Ben are close by right now.  I got to watch Boston and Kiara while Ben had his surgery.  I want to help, so I'm glad she let me.  We played here for a while and then we met Tiff and the kids at a park.  The kids all had a blast and played for hours.
We brought bikes and scooters and everyone was happy.  Hallee and Wyatt love when they get to play with friends and cousins!

The truth is dad, if I go to sleep, I won't be able to play with you

Hallee always cracks me up with the things she says.  The other night she was playing with Keith and he told her that it was time for bed, she thought she could talk him out of it by telling him that they couldn't play anymore if she was in bed.
We have had a busy couple of weeks. It has been fun, but busy.  Hallee was always a good sport at soccer and football games.  She always found leaves and sticks to play with.
Sometimes she would pretend that she was a bird and the blanket was her nest.
Caitlyn started horse back riding lessons when our groupon ran out.  Ataiya and Caitlyn take a group lesson together.  Their trainer is young, she is wonderful though, so we got an affordable rate!  They love it.  Caitlyn could live at the stable.
Caitlyn had fun sleeping over at Amarie's last week.  They had fun playing with the neighborhood dogs.
Utah Jazz pre-season started so Keith and Jonah went to a game last week.  We gave Jonah two tickets for his birthday.  I asked him who he was going to take, meaning me or Keith, and he said, "Probably EJ, he can drive."
Wyatt and Hallee love to play pirates.  They both had treasure maps the other day and they were searching the house for treasure.
We had a fun UEA weekend.  We went over to the Beck's one day and Emilee and I were able to go to dinner, which was so nice!  We saw "Inside Out."  We met Allison and the kids at the park on Friday and Caitlyn went to their house until Grace's birthday party that night.  Grace had a costume party and Caitlyn had a great time.  Jonah had fun going to his friends house and having his friend over here.
Friday night I got to go to a hotel with my sisters!  Paul booked the hotel and planned the night out for Tiff for her birthday.  It was so much fun.  We went to dinner and stayed up late talking and Tiff and I were able to sleep in on Saturday.  I loved it!
Hallee's hair is getting so long.  I love it!
We have had people looking at our house, but no offers yet.  They always want to look at the house during dinner time!  I was hoping it would sell quickly because a few homes in our neighborhood did, but that was during the summer.  I know I have to be patient, but it is hard!  I hate being in limbo.
I love hanging out with this cute boy!  I can't get enough of his smile.  I also got to see Katie again and hold Kenzie.  It was so fun, she is a doll.  I sure miss my babies!
Today my mom stopped by to play with the kids.  They loved it!  Sitting in your Halloween costumes eating lunch while grandma reads you stories, it doesn't get better than that!
Keith started his new job yesterday.  He said he really enjoyed it.  He is so excited to be in the position where he can impact the company and make changes to make things better.  It was hard for him to see the problems in Discover Card and not have the authority to fix them.  He said he really liked all of the people he met.  It took him 50 minutes to get to work.  He went early and avoided the traffic though.  I really hope we can move closer to his office soon, I don't want him driving instead of being home with us!

So long Flag Football

Jonah finished up his flag football season.  It was a bit of a rough season for his team, they only won a few games.  Jonah loved it though.
They would always start every game by handing the ball off to Jonah.   He would usually have a pretty good run and then the other team would watch him carefully after that.
Here he is catching the kick off.
I love watching Jonah play sports.  He is so serious about it and he loves every minute of it.
He had fun playing with his teammates on the sidelines while they were out.
I'm a little sad it is over, but I'm also glad that it has cleared up our schedule!

Wyatt's Field Trip

Today we went on a field trip with Wyatt's pre-school class.  Wyatt was really excited that I got to go with him because he is still having some separation anxiety.
Hallee was excited that she got to come too.  We played on the tractors while we waited for everyone to arrive.
We walked through a corn maze.
We got to go on two tractor rides.  Hallee didn't like that they were so bumpy.  She is always complaining about the road being bumpy when we are driving.
The kids got to pick their own pumpkins.  They both thought these wheel barrows were fun.
It was fun to see Wyatt interact with his class.  He sure seemed grown up today.
Wyatt wanted his picture taken with Mater.
Next we went to the barn and the kids got to decorate their pumpkins with stickers.  Wyatt's teacher also brought donuts. It was a lot of fun.  I really like Wyatt's teacher.  She is a great teacher and has already taught Wyatt so much.
On the way home Hallee said, "I know mom, we can give our pumpkins to Santa Claus.  He is so nice."
This is Wyatt's friend Austin.  Wyatt loves to play with him at school.  I actually grew up with Austin's mom.  Shalece and Tiff were good friends.  I'm glad Wyatt has a good friend at school.

Wrapping up Soccer

Wyatt had his last soccer game on Saturday.  We had fun watching him play.  His team lost most of their games this season, but they played awesome on Saturday.  Wyatt did great.  He was in there fighting for the ball and he made some great plays.
He loves to play soccer and he loves to goof off with the kids on his team.
Wyatt is always very concerned with the score.  He keeps score and always tells me what the score is.  He gets so excited when his team makes a goal.
This was his tired face when it was time for him to sit out.  He loved that we were all there watching him and cheering him on.
This week has been crazy again.  We had a flat tire in Keith's new car.  I had to take Keith to work and I had to wait for roadside assistance to come and blow up the tire so I could get it to the shop because we didn't have the right tool to get the lug nuts off.  So frustrating!  Later in the week the van got a nail in its tire.  Luckily, that tire was fixable because we had to put a new tire on the car.
Keith starts his new job in Provo in a week.  They accepted his counter offer.  Keith is so excited for this opportunity.  I have been feeling like we needed a change for six months now and I'm excited to see it happening.  It is a little weird for me to want a change because I don't like change.  We put our house on the market on Thursday night.  We have had two showings so far.  I hope it sells fast because it is so hard to keep the house clean.  I know I have to be patient and that things will work out the way they are supposed to.
Hallee and Caitlyn played under the blanket during Wyatt's game.
Wyatt did a really good job of focusing on Saturday.  Sometimes he is off in his own world during the game and then he will realize there is a game going on around him.
He sure is a cutie!
Wyatt was excited to get another soccer trophy!  I was planning on putting Wyatt and Jonah in indoor soccer.  It would start next week.  They would both love it and have fun, but I decided it is more important that we slow down and have some free nights.  The kids were playing outside the other night and I had to call them all in for early dinner so we could get to Wyatt's soccer game and I realized that it is okay not to sign up for everything.  It sounds silly, but it was an epiphany for me in that moment.  Life is crazy enough with Keith's new job and trying to sell our house and our busy callings, so why not eliminate something and enjoy a little less stress!
